2016 Canadian Nationals Senior Men FS

Firus usually bombs internationally. Doubt we will get 3 spots now. How mant times will it take before the judgescfigure it out?

Hmm, patrick started out brilliantly, but fizzled a bit.... room to grow for worlds.

Oh...details?

Someone at Skate Canada should Wagner this and give the second world spot to Kevin. Liam will not get Canada 3 spots for next year and we'll be stuck picking between our favourites on who is going to accompany Patrick to Worlds.

Patrick Chan

4T3T - beautiful
3A - hangs on
4T - Nice
StSq - Nice spread eagle variation
2A2T - doubled planned triple
3F2T2T - good
Spin -
2F - hangs on (planned triple)
Score - 192.09:jaw:
Not perfect but he'll win!

I'm thinking if Patrick withdraws from 4CCs (because he doesn't like to compete far away from home) maybe Skate Canada could have a skate off between Liam, Nam and Kevin but I really think Patrick needs to go to 4CCs to get out some jitters for Worlds. I can't think of any way they'll send Nam and I am disappointed

Absolutely. At least let them duel it out at 4CC, where I guarantee international judges will not be so kind to Liam. He might not even make the FS at Worlds, whereas both Nam and Kevin have had top 5 finishes.

Actually, I kinda hate that he's even going to 4CC over Nam. Just not a fan at all.

I didn't check, but Liam did no 3A neither 3-3s. Is it correct? I have some acute superficial depression. No left energy, sorry

Yes! I agree, they have to do a skate off at 4CC.

Not bad at all from Patrick with the new content for the first time. He has 4CC to get more comfortable before Worlds.

That was actually a 2f at the end so no Zayak issue (based on protocol). So Patrick landed 2x 4t and 5 triples, with 2 doubled jumps (second 3axel and the 3flip). Not bad, but room for growth.

Honestly, I was hoping that Nam would hang on for third and that they'd send Nam and Kevin to a skate off at 4CC. Doubt that'll happen now

I don't trust Liam to perform decently at Worlds at all

2 lovely big quads from Patrick, 3a was ok, doubled some jumps later... high marks considering the doubled jumps, but that is just inflation... and his skating skills are amazing. Fine with his score. Great to see him getting back into form because he is so good and motivates yuzu.

Would Love a skate off with Nam, Kevin and Liam at 4cc. I bet the results would be verrrrry different there.
