Polina Edmunds

I think Rudy Galindo needs to retool Polina's GWTW program and get a new dress. Polina would look beautiful in a red dress like Alaine but a green dress (drapes) might be a better choice - or maybe a disaster:drama: the program needs to be ramped up at the very least. Maybe even dress her in black and change the music to the ending "I don't give a damn!" scene music?

I just love Polina and I love that Rudy is her choreographer and coach and I am rooting for them both to take her to the top!

Great minds think alike. :agree:

Her current FS dress is not enough to depict the complex character, Scarlett's long journey. It just remains the young Southern bell before the civil war occurred. I think the ivory dress is more like Melanie's image. If she dyes her hair to black, her characterization would be more perfect.

Medium brown hair could work. I think Polina is too pale in complexion for black hair or even dark brown hair.

I think black is one of those hair colors you really can't pull off unless you are born with that color. Dying hair black, especially for Caucasians. could easily make someone look goth.

You're right but making a goth image would not be that bad for her (just kidding) I simply thought if her hair become darker with appropriate makeup, she would have more charismatic aura which would also help her general SP and FS images together. I don't like her critics complain on and on about her fairy images on ice.

I think Polina has never dyed her hair and I don't think she should start doing it for a program that isn't very popular to begin with. :p
And she has a pretty medium blonde color, there's really no need to mess with it. Especially when changing the dress could already make a huge difference.

Yep she's been struggling with these damn boots for all season! I don't understand why Harlics can't get it right so many times!

I'm just relieved she's not injured. I'm disappointed not to see her skate at 4CC, though. The rash of withdrawals from the ladies event at that comp is making me sad.
:sad4:

Something about Polina just gives me a calming feeling. I hope she skates to her potential at Worlds. It's just my my little opinion but she is as good as anyone who is competing. Go get ya some girl!!!!

I definitely think that Polina can move up this year at Worlds, especially if she does strong and clean SP and FS. I think her biggest asset right now is that she can do the programs when it counts - I'm not sure if it's due to her training or if she is also doing some visualization exercises, but it's working! :)

She was 8th the last two years, but I think she has made so many improvements that she should be able to crack the top 5 or 6!

Thank you Dorris :o:

Good luck Polina!!! I hope she gets on that podium!!!!

Can't wait to see her skate at Worlds in Boston... Hope she podiums (fingers crossed) but just seeing her perform will be thrilling... GO Polina! :cheer:

Well, Polina's withdrawal has taken a big chunk out of the fun of watching worlds for me. Of course, the most important thing is Polina's health and well-being, so I'd rather see her sitting out than skating injured. :sad14:

I hope she keeps her gorgeous short program next season.

I enthusiastically second the hope that Polina keeps that gorgeous :love:SP for next season!

I admire her statement on withdrawing, and I wish her a speedy, full recovery.
