I also came across the toxic article which criticized his performance badly lol. But they forgot one thing, the scores he got were in relative with other skaters in the same competition. So no matter how high his scores are, it simply means the judges want to say "in this competition he is vastly superior than other men" which I think it's fair because with his performance he shouldn't get less than what other men get.

Funny enough the toxic article was written by a crazy fan of some certain skaters. I couldn't help but laugh so hard. I mean certainly I have skaters I don't enjoy but I don't waste my time writing some hate article about them. I'd rather celebrate and promote the ones I love. :luv17:

Indeed. I don't understand why people waste their time worrying about skaters/celebrities they don't like. I have, on occasion, foolishly tried to converse with anti-Yuzuru trolls on YouTube. Sometimes, they shut up, and I feel pretty good about (maybe) getting them to do that. Other to times, they just go on and on, no matter how many people try to reason with them. Then I think, "Why did I bother?"

I am returning after the absence period for the death of my mother. She liked his grandson Yuzu, but did not like my desire to go to Japan. I have not finished reading all the posts, but I have won enough positive energy to overcome this phase. Our dear Yuzu is not afraid of challenges and difficulties and inspires me to face my challenges. Thank you all for all the precious information about our amazing boy. Already renewed prayer for the world championship. I believe we will have many positive surprises. Your star will shine again. I trust in your team, in his wisdom and inner strength. Yuzu go!
Congratulations to the new members. Be welcome.

Was there anyone to say something like that ? I think only one user here said something liek that, but he clearly had no idea what he was talking about so doesn't matter ;)
Hanyu deserves the highest transitions marks for both programs

Sorry everyone, I'm really messing up the "reply with quote".....:noshake: I'm not very tech savy...

There are 3 bloggers on Sports.ru who dislike Yuzuru from his debut, 95 % likes him there. One is El grand capitan-the one Fayruza was talking about, he is die hard Chan fan and still can't overcome Sochi gold medal, second is DaryaYonoor aka let's talk on twitter, blocked on GS-Daisuke fan who blames Yuzuru for stealing Dai's fame, the most insane: Velikii Mag Zaiganov-that one is totally senile, Boyang fan who claims Yuzuru has no transitions and his skating is mostly two footed,:handw: she writes even more crazy things that doesn't worth to be remembered, she is "well known " there for not being normal  in whole Yuzuru is still very much loved on sports.ru :)

As for Tracy's interview, it was amusing to hear that someone basically reamed Yuzu out for somehow bothering him during a run through. She said it was years ago, and I can believe it because I cannot imagine a younger skater getting angry with him now, lol. They'd probably be too intimidated even though he's as polite and nice as you can get.

I agree with you! :agree: I can't imagine anyone getting angry with Yuzuru on the rink now either, not only because of his accomplishments and passion for skating, but also because he truly respects everyone around him. I'm sure the guy regretted treating Yuzu that way in the past after seeing his polite attitude and positiveness towards other skaters.

I actually like when Yuzu goes under the media's radar since we know he's training peaceful and resting in Japan with his family. Can't wait for Worlds! :)

:ghug: I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

How wonderful that your mother shared your love for Yuzuru, and I think that she is now and always will be your beloved angel watching over you and wishing you well in all your undertakings.

I am glad that you find comfort and solace in our fanfest thread.

.....but without Hanyu, who is currently occupied with making a movie at home in Japan :scratch3:
Yes, haven't you heard? It's going to be a musical. It's a crossover between Die Hard and traditional Japanese dance. He's playing the role of the bad guy: the evil tap-dancing bunny boy (it's also kind of scify). Stay tuned as I make up more infos about this amazing new blockbuster :sarcasm:

HI everyone:

Here is one of my recent posts. How Yuzu and I are preparing for Worlds...haha. Hope you enjoy.

https://sportymags.wordpress.com/2016/02/17/yuzuru-hanyu-preparing-for-worlds/

I always enjoy reading your posts ! You are also a perfectionist...

To answer the question what to do till worlds/ Boston: First: Watching Patrick Chans performance at 4CC - if the is testing his "jump-upgrade". Myself: Training as hard as possible on the ice - our rinks closing mid-March.

To the criticism for Hanyus transitions mainly from this russian side posted by Marin: It seems that figure skating instructors mainly influenced by russian school dislike Hanyus style - they admire his jumps but criticising his two foot transitions. To keep posture during 4-rotation jumps perfectly, just keep in mind his spread eagle-4S-spread eagle, and then having to skate on two feet because not having balance enough to skate on one foot ? Quark !! Its only a question of quality: Chan' s got the best elaborated and clear step sequences at the moment. But Hanyu is working hard on that ( I' ve seen in his practise sessions from last years worlds with nice deep edges), lets see if he can get a level 4 at worlds.

Maybe Hanyus step sequences should not be packed with too much elements - if there are too much things, you shorten everything up, huddle over, not standing clearly at the end of one element because the next is waiting and musics playing on and hurrying you up. Hanyu has nice edges but he has also long legs and if you dont stretch it looks sloppy - it takes time to stretch these legs : You remember his nice backwark strokes at an exhibition into "Ina Bauer" ? They were beautiful because he had time enough to perform. A question of "ma". By mentioning this I don' t say he should slow up every technique, there should be quick techniques followed by a powerful stance - but Hanyu got this idea himself after meeting Mansai Nomura.
