I want to clarify that I mean no disrespect to Canadian skaters, but they have an aversion it seems to blingy costumes...in Japan the more sparkles the better. :agree:

:rofl2: genius! Next time I should try and see how my bf react! Actually recently he is quite jealous with Yuzu because I set a Yuzu's photo as my lock screen of my phone. It amuses me and makes me happy at the same time because my bf rarely express his love and especially never show his jealousy. I am thinking that I should write a letter to Yuzu to thank him about that, lol

lol I am always amazed by you guys' sense of humor in this thread. I've laughed so much when I was going through more than 2000 pages of this thread, they are full of joy and positive energy, which I really need in my life now. Every time I fight with my boyfriend and lose my temper, I watch Yuzu's performances and I come here and then all of my anger will be swept away, and thus I can come back and make up with my bf. So Yuzuru and his wonderful fans have saved a relationship thousand times from breaking up! You guys should be proud!

I remember somewhere among those 2000 pages there was a post about Yuzu helps saving world peace Sure it is just something that fans make up but at least I know that he helps saving peace in my relationship May be someday he could be nominate for Nobel prize for Peace

You should have heard my mother's comment on the RJ2 costume. Since I don't have a TV, I once besieged hers to watch the FS. And she came into the room, saw Yuzuru at the boards and was like
"I thought you were watching the men's competition."

"That's not a girl. That's my new most favorite thing in the world!"
"But that's a girl's costume."
"No, it's not!"
" ..... I'll give him props for having the confidence to wear that"

She actually really likes him but his costumes are totally lost on her

to be fair, I think she wouldn't like that kind of thing on anyone my obsession with glitter and bling certainly doesn't come from her side of the gene pool

As far as I'm concerned, Yuzuru deserves to sparkle as much as he likes...
And Seimei costumes does sparkle a lot - I chanced to see a fancam in the dark.

Looking at my number of posts, you can tell how often I do it but since it's my area of knowledge...

Seimei costume is indeed very sparkly (saw it in Barcelona), the point is that neither camcorders, nor phone cameras, nor TV cameras, not even the best DSLR cameras photographers use at these events, can capture the real sparkle of those costumes. Another example would be Mao's SP dress which looks completely different live compared to anything I've seen in photos or videos but that's almost off-topic.

very true. I remember when I first saw the Chopin costume at the GPF 2014. It was soooooo so so so so sparkly :luv17: you won't believe it if you haven't seen it with your own eyes

I thought the golden parts were mostly fabric but it has tones of rhinestones. yep, SPARKLY.

Enrique is the one who, even though he's a fan, does live commentaries to the events he attends, like the GPF last year and this year. He gets so excited (specially with Yuzu) is very entertaining to watch. And his fancams are pretty good!
I'm not sure about the colored subtitles, but if the last ones have been bright pink and green it's me I'm pretty sure they're covering Worlds, so if Yuzu skates lights out, you'll hear them go crazy over him again. :yes:

And about the sparkles, only Yuzu would be able to pull them off as well as he does. I think PW has been his most conservative one in competition and he still had tons of sparkles in the folds of the shirt. Every time he has a new costume, I show it to my mom and she always says they're amazing and that she wants the top parts The bottom never changes, though, always black to let the sparkles take the spotlight.
