Wenjing Sui & Cong Han

I know it may sound totally cheesy, but my biggest wish right now is them to win Worlds in Boston. For me, no other pair skating now can cause such excitement, such wired atmosphere around them, such drama...There goes sass for days, diva/boss attitude, intricate partnership of both and such great programs this season. Hopefully she will be taken with care, rest a lot before Boston and then they will arrive with confidence and focus.

I think that a lot of things depend on who will actually appear in Boston - I won't take as granted that Volosozhar/Trankov, Stolbova/Klimov and Yuko and Alexander will be present until I see them on ice. Overall - regardless of who will apprear and who won't - Ice Dance and Pairs will be the most exciting to see since very long time!

I feel the same way. If they just do their thing and skate clean, it could happen.
As for who will show up, K/S withdrew quite a while ago- Yuko's injury was quite serious. I think V/T will be there for sure. S/K is the team I'm uncertain of- Klimov's been sent away for diagnosis on his condition until the 27th. They won't even know what's wrong until then, and that only leaves a month until worlds, so I'm rather skeptical as to whether they'll show up.
V/T seem to the clearest favorites for the title given everyone else's uncertain condition, but S/H's score was surprisingly close to V/T's from Euros(though I'm aware it's hard to compare scores from different competitions...), and they seem to have a realistic shot.

I would love for S/H to win Wirlds! Especially because I would be there to witness it live

it was pretty surprising considering how many small mistakes they did and how much points they lost because of them, if they can nail everything their chance is pretty high :luv17:
and solar, just so you know, i m very jealous of you right now :sad14:

I was shocked when I saw their PB with their 4CC free skate that had tons of mistakes! It made me truly appreciate the quality of their elements (even with mistakes) and their insane tech content! Not to mention their improved skating skills and maturity. It seems like yesterday that they were doing that weird cowboy program season after season

I won't be able to watch the pairs FS, but I'll be able to see the SP! I hope they'll nail their SP because it's my favorite pairs short this season!

Their skating has really come a long way. It's always surprising to me when I look back and realize how young they were when they had their senior debut. I mean, Sui is still only 20!

And that country/cowboy sp is my guilty pleasure.

Yep, they had an ur and a fall on the 3s, along with the hand down on the 3f. Not to mention losing levels on the 4tw which they usually get at least a lvl 2 for. I believe V/T were cleaner and still got slightly less for their fs at euros! The power of two clean quads, I guess... :P

you forgot only lvl2 for death spiral and lvl2 for sbs spin  their levels were mess at 4CC :palmf:

and i just watched their 2012 world programs again, they were just babies with 2 quads ; also she was still a diva  i love Han's arm at their death spiral at SP
btw i have a question about death spiral, Han changes his position at the end of their death spiral , isnt it allowed anymore? i remember seeing it at old videos but dont remember seeing it since i started following FS after Sochi

Everyone wishes them winning Worlds, well I think they should aim higher!

Yup! At least till they win Olympics ;)

I was wondering whether they'd stick around until 2022 Olympics since its in Beijing. They're still considered pretty young in pairs standards

I think they will, but you'd have to wonder if her body can hold up. The state of her ankle ligaments (or lack thereof) worries me, even if she gets the surgery. They've got to endure pretty heavy stress for the next six years.

I agree with ginsengtea that it's only a matter of health. They are young, but they skate together for so many years (I know only Kavaguti/Smirnov are longer toghether), it feel like they were always there!

Yes, this. Both on-ice and off, we need #BossQueenSui in our lives.

Yes  And her loyal Servant too, hopefully for years! :hap10:

yes, this was their first senior season and they were a sensation in Nice - for me one of the true highlights (with Akiko Suzuki, Daisuke Takahashi, Yuzuru, Kaitlyn Weaver/Andrew Poje and Tessa and Scott). They so went for it, like no other pair, still re-watching that FS on almost weekend basis - so much energy, power, attack, no fear to go after these quads. Despite that aborted lift, it was a skate of the night for me!
