I'll keep major updates on this thread...but the Slack/Text is a way to be like "Hey let's meet during the ice resurfacing" or "Let's catch a drink at the Westin." type thing.
I'm arriving Tuesday night about 5 p.m. I'm meeting a friend for dinner. I'm pretty much going to all the sessions except for the Pairs/Ladies FS (as I fly out early Saturday).
When that list is ready, send it to me, I'll add it to the Slack Channel (there's a section for files)
OK, got permission from Doris to show her pic to anyone that asks and I am sure there are those here that would love to meet you and Doris even though you are not staying for the full event.
Starting to work on list now.
Chris

My vote would've been for Facebook a private or public Facebook group. You can pin a post at top for any meeting times/locations, and create meet up "events" as well while still having separate conversations within the same group. If you set it to public anyone can view it without an account (but won't be able to comment/post). For anyone organizing they can be set as a group admin, they can approve people to join if it's set to private and they can also pin posts within the group. If anyone is interested in doing this I can probably help walk through the set up.
I have updated the OP for the info I have so far.
I would be willing to set up a group, but what does everyone think of this option? I'm sure more folks have Facebook than Slack...but I like Slack's simple interface and group texts are also simple.
Honestly I have the Facebook/Slack/Text on my phone, it wouldn't be hard to keep track of these channels...

I think we should pick ONE messaging app and stick to it so everyone's on the same page, else the organizer (that's you Mrs. P) will get a headache trying to juggle multiple apps.
I juggle multiple social platforms for a living, so this won't be a huge thing for me.
But that said, unless there's a huge demand for a FB group (i.e. a strong preference), I will stick to slack and text messages (and this thread).
Mrs. P, should we email you our email/phone if we want to be added to the Slack group? Or any social media group?
This is a good idea, even if it's just a yellow ribbon or something small. As long as it's identifiable!
Just PM me your info and let me know if you want to be part of the mass text and/or slack group.
