And a TV show said that this male hina doll was inspired form Yuzuru (his face). It looks just gorgous. (I also recalled he said that he felt like he himself being an Odairi-sama, -a male hina- while he was in that hakama.)

As many people have known, Yuzu performed over 60 shows to practice his new season programs, because his home rink was damaged by earthquake at that time. Today, a twitter forward this video again. Don't worry. He said "Shigemura de aru" in old Japanese that was used when a person of authority announced himself; which is equivalent to "Shigemura desu/da." You can only hear this expression in history movies or dramas

Here is a humorous bit from Nobu's weekly (?) sports show. In sports news, they talk about Yuzu's acting debut and Nobu says (jokingly of course) the part should have come to me! I'm older and everyone knows that I have the experience in this kind of thing!!

When I saw Yuzu photos my face went like this :. The photos are amazing and he is so beautiful. Seeing them in the mag compare to online is totally different. I kind of have to hide from my hubby when reading the mag (i meant seeing the photos as I cannot read Japanese) due to my swooning .

I'm sure those Ghana files of Yuzu must be super beautiful. And I can't imagine how beautiful and handsome is Yuzu in real life . His beautiful soul just shines through :luv17:

It's not that American fans dislike foreign skaters. But just like most people, they care more about the success of their own skaters than foreign skaters. They are more interested in seeing their own skaters do well than foreign skaters doing well.
The popularity of skating in the USA wouldn't drop so significantly if American skaters (especially American ladies) continue to medal at major championships like WC. The popularity of skating depends on the success of local skaters. (I'm sure most Japanese fans care about the success of Japanese skaters more than the success of American skaters.)

From the host's perspective, it makes no sense to spend more resources on promoting foreign stars than local stars.

The headliners at Skate America the last couple years have been Jason Brown and Gracie Gold, also including the Shibutanis, Max Aaron, and others in alternating years. I would assume it will continue that way. Brown and Gold fans were out in full force.

Since he has stepped into acting already, I'm sure if there's a movie made of his life —he'll be starring as the main. (plus there's already the many, many documentaries made of his life so far, I realize that we're spoiled as Hanyu fans)

This aside, I'm super excited about Worlds upcoming at the end of March! I hope everyone who attends will have a great time watching the skaters at one of the most important competitions of the season. :thumbsup:
