Just curious, has anyone heard Kurt Browning's 4CC recap?
At 17:40, he talks about Han Yan: "I am a bit of fan and he gets a medal, so you know so many time he came close and been knocked across the ice by a rogue Japanese skater as they warm up. But who knows what, you know like, but I am glad, he finaly gets a medal."
I haven't heard of Han Yan being knocked across the ice at 4CC with a japanese skater during warm up on ice, so I am guessing that Kurt is referring Han Yan's incident at COC with Yuzu. But is he really using the word "rogue"? Could someone verify?

This is 4CC recap and Yuzuru wasn't there so certainly Kurt doesn't talk about Yuzuru, it's so obvious Kurt talked about other men at 4CC. However I don't watch their warm up so I don't know who he talked about.

I haven't listened to recap yet but based on script, I'm afraid he does refer to COC accident with Yuzuru. He doesn't specify where it has been, he simply states that Yan has been close to medal so many times, yet once a big trouble "hindered" him. It's clear as day for me. Who might have kicked him across the ice at 4CC? Shoma couldn't have. If he used that word seriously, I admit Kurt's comments sometimes go too far and too subjective. Not nice

Listening to the commentary it is quite clear that Kurt is referring to Hanyu and Yan's collision from CoC in 2014. It is also quite clear that it is a statement made in jest and not meant as an offense to either skater.

I listened to Kurt's commentary and I don't think he meant anything negative in his words. He tends to be very lighthearted and to be honest Han was knocked across the ice by a rogue Yuzu, just as Yuzu was knocked across the ice by a rogue Han, ya know? No big deal.

Han didn't have any problem during 4CC warm up. No video or fan repo about that.
Well, I personally don't feel rogue is an appropriate word. Also, I think Yuzu was the one who was literally KNOCKED ACROSS the ice while Han just stumbled and fell later on. At least Kurt can say these two boys hit each other instead of one being knocked by the other. By saying "Han was knocked across the ice by a rogue Japanese skater", Kurt just told one side of story and that sounds biased and subjective. Anyway, as a Yuzu fan, I don't like his comment at all.

The funny thing to me is that, Han also got a medal at 4CC last year if my memory saved me; and Kurt had been holding for a year to congrat on "he finally gets a medal"? You might want to pay more attention to your boy if you like him so much like what you claimed LOL
