GS Meetup at Worlds 2016!

Put me down as interested :) I need to confirm some times, but brunch sounds like it would be great!

If it is ok I would very much like to attend the Meet up at North Station
We are flying in Wed Morning and going straight to short dance
We probably won't be eating but would love to meet and greet if ok

There's a whole bunch of us at the Westin! I'll put you on the list, nancela!

So with the recent additions we will have 11 people for brunch/lunch. Here's what i got:

RSVP: 11 (Mrs. P, babyskate, charmblade, karne, winky97, apgold, sweetsugar1613, princessroja, lyverbird (+1), nancela)
INTERESTED: 3( rain037, nguyhm, narcissa)

Please put me down for brunch too! I think that's the only formal meetup I can attend as of right now :). I'll PM you my email to get on the slack account,

Got your PM and will add you to the list! :) And now we have a dozen GS members for brunch! I have told the restaurants I've talked to 15, and there's three restaurants that do take reservations and I'm checking back with two others.

About this Slack app...starting to wonder whether it's worth it to join in, but then again I hate how much personal info a lot of these services ask for.:sarcasm:

^ ok, if it's only email, that's not too bad then.

Actually you need to give ME your email so I can send you an invite to the group. :) There's 22 of us with 4 others who have been invited. So it will be a Slack-er party come Worlds week!

I also collected a whole slew of mobile numbers for text updates too. I promise no crazy text spam!

Tried to PM you with texting number, but I learned I must have ten posts before i'm allowed to do that. Will be up to ten by tomorrow.

For the record, since you're on Slack, you will probably be well informed! Or maybe you're not.. Oops. In any case let me know how you want to get updates...

Update on Brunch!

Here's who I Got so far:
RSVP: 12 (Mrs. P, babyskate, charmblade, karne, winky97, apgold, sweetsugar1613, princessroja, lyverbird (+1), nancela, Seruleane)
INTERESTED: 5( rain037, nguyhm, narcissa, solar, lilahozi)

For those interested, let me know soon if you think there's a chance you will be able to come. I might go ahead to make a reservation for 17 then drop it if it turns out some of you can't come.

I am down to two spots, though I'm leaning closer to one because I like the selection and it's a direct T ride to the arena.

My top choice is Brownstone -- (http://www.brownstoneboston.com/menus/mondaybrunch/). It has a great selection and the T stop is right there, and it's 15 minute trip to the arena. (Also it's quite close for those of us who are staying in the Back Bay area)

My second choice, Beacon Hill Bistro is closer to those at Wyndham (http://www.beaconhillhotel.com/beacon-hill-restaurant-bistro/). However the T-stop is quite a ways from the restaurant (though it's only a 20 minute walk)

I'm inclined to make a reservation at the Brownstone, however if you want to make a case for me to pick Beacon Hill Bistro I would be glad to hear your case.

Hey, y'all. What do you like on your pizza? I'm working on the order for the pizza party this weekend. Remember the pizza is first-come, first-serve, but I'd like to have a good variety for those who show up!

I'm going to reserve a table for 20 at the Brownstone. Currently we have 12 people who will be there and 6 more who say they might be there. And an extra 2 spots for good measure. I will adjust as people in the "interested" column give their answer and we're closer to the event.

I am coming into conversation late, but have you considered North Street Grille which is walking distance to Garden. On a Friday morning, they might be willing to give a reservation for a group this size.

I tried calling them, but I couldn't reach anyone. I will try again. It seemed they weren't open. Their Facebook page hasn't been updated nor their website. Maybe I will try them one more time.

Here's the menu for Regina's pizza

So much to choose from. Take your pick. To have more varieties we can order the small pies instead of the large ones.
Will anyone be interested in some canolis/desserts from Modern Pastry? The delivery service can deliver from both places. Something to ponder upon. I'd be happy to pitch in for the desserts with the ones who are interested, the pizza funds are strictly for pizzas only.

Well, I always like the class margherita pizza... but honestly I'm up for most anything! And yeah, I'd be up for pitching in for some desserts too.

I don't know about anyone else, but I like pepperoni myself.

I'm a meatless person. I like margherita. I can put $ for dessert and za!

I like Margherita, too, but will eat almost any kind of pizza. I'd love to chip in for dessert. Hope there'll be some chocolate in it!
