On Site Reports @ Worlds 2016

Thanks to all of you who are kind enough to share updates! I realize that you're there to enjoy the experience but the reports for those of us who can't afford to go are great! (For the record, I don't care if you can't remember a skater's name ;)). I'm also following Jackie Wong's reports, which are helpful in their detail.

Jackie Wong from the practice rink:

Asada: 3F2Lo, 3F2Lo, 2A, 2A, 3A(hangs on), SP runthru (3A<<2ft, 2F, 3Lo2Lo), 3F2Lo, 3F3Lo<, 3F3Lo, 3Lz

Gold: 2A, 3Lo, 2A3T, 3Lz(-)3T, 3Lz3T, SP runthru (3Lz3T, 3F, 2A)

Hongo: 2A3T, 3Lo, 3F, 3S, 3Lze?, 3F3T, FS runthru (3F3T, 3S, 3Lz, 2A3T2T, 3Lo, 3F, 2A3T<)

Miyahara: 3Lo, 3Lo, 3T3T, 3Lz, 3Lz3T, 3Lz3T, 3Lz2T2Lo, FS runthru (3Lz2T2Lo, 3Lo, 3F, 3Lz, 3S, 2A3T, 2A1T)

Nagasu: 3F, 3F3T(ur?), 2A, 2A3T2T, 3Lo, 3Lze?, 3S, 3F3T, 3F3T, SP runthru (3F3T, 3Lo, 2A)

Why are all the Russians MIA (or appear to be?) haven't seen any reports about any of them yet...

The dancers were here. I was taking photos and got some awesome ones of both couples especially Stepanova/Bukin!!! They both skated their FD. S/B music isn't so bad live. Nikita twizzles :shock2:

No falls! :yahoo: some URs and pops but still, that must've been one heck of a practice to watch...so many good skaters going clean!

(Gracie doing a clean short, albeit in practice, is a huge relief, considering that I've literally been having nightmares about it...hehe. :slink:)

Why Hanyu/Fernandez fans frustrate me: this was the literal report one of them put on twitter: "Javi and other skater almost collided". Come on! That "other skater" is a freaking US National Champion (should be twice!)

:otopic: No matter how many times or how many ways you repeat this, karne, that doesn't make it true.

Adam Rippon IS the current US Champion and will remain so until next year.

and won Skate America this season. I know it might shock them to realise there are skaters other than Fernandez and Hanyu, but that's just disrespectful!

What's disrespectful is the way you keep trying to deny or diminish Adam's accomplishment.... which was one of the high moments of the 4-day senior competitions.

I'm sure the 3 Russian ladies had perfectly good reasons for not being at that one practice, but disappointing for the audience. (Still, it's completely at each skater's discretion.) When I'm at a competition, I absolutely love:love: seeing all the skaters at practice, in a different context. Such fun!:hap93:

:thank: to everyone who's posting here! It's such fun sharing the excitement!

And for anyone who attended practice, any 'non-technical' or technical impressions?
How does Satoko look to you? Jumps and all.
Who stood out to you?
Personal stories please!

James/Cipres just landed a clean throw 4Sal. With 3T-3T, could they challenge for a medal?

The majority of the Russian skaters were on the flight that had a horrible delay last night. They reached the hotel well after midnight. I'm sure they are just trying to catch some sleep.

Eek. Hopefully they'll be well-rested in time for tomorrow's practice and we can get some reports! :)

Oh, dear, and :eeking:. Thanks for the information.

No Russians pairs.......well at least I can conserve my camera battery for the Canadians and Chinese pairs.
