D/R are going to get a lot of hate if they end up winning, but tbh they BROUGHT IT in this LP and S/K and S/H faltered (and S/H are my faaaaaves).

If I recall correctly he called her mannish. I just remember when I read about it it seemed petty. He and Tatiana have won everything so picking on a team that's inferior (and D/R are IMO) seems petty. When you are at the top it's graceless to criticise others about things they can't change.

But he's a wonderful skater and a great partner. If they win they deserve a lot of credit for coming back.
