that's weird :scratch2:

There was this one promotional flyer for FaOI, but that may very well have been prepared in advance. The official homepage is still unchanged and doesn't list him anywhere, so who knows if that's 100% confirmed.

It is weird, but I try not to obsess over the question why. We don't really know what's going on right now, and I for one don't want to get all panicy again because of assumptions.

It's still too early...I looked back in the thread and last year it seems his participation at FaOI was confirmed the 27th of April :)

well then we're all good  I just keep reading more and more comments about why this or that skater hasn't been confirmed for any shows yet, and I'm already waiting for (read: dreading) the next great public panic attack  thanks for looking that up

Has this been shared here before? I searched the thread and only found mentions of this lady from 2014.

Noriko Shirota has joined Yuzuru's ANA team in the lead up to the 2018 Olympics, according to The Japan News. I am posting a cached link as there is no way to access the article without subscription, but it seems to be somewhat important.

Yuzuru will stay with Brian and continue to train in Toronto, but Ms. Shirota will advise him in Japan. I am not sure I agree with this at all because what Ms. Shirota is going to advise him on should be done with the coach and choreographers. No one except the coach and maybe medical professionals should overrule the choreographer. What is this even going to accomplish? Can someone explain it to me, because I am clearly not getting it.

And this promotional image for Fantasy on Ice in Nagano does not feature Yuzuru anywhere. I think they only included confirmed skaters. I think the organizers understand there are no guarantees with Yuzuru right now.

The article doesn't really say anywhere that she can "overrule" anyone. Sounds like just an advisory position. Advice can be given, but doesn't have to be taken. But if that's Japanese speak for "the person who can overrule everyone else", then someone else would have to explain that  I don't really see that here

I've got 週末仙台 Weekend Sendai :hap93:

I went to Parco Department Store near my home 30 minutes before their open hour this morning. I found around 80 people waiting outside the store, and thought "Oh, not so many. Less than expected." But a lady near me chatted with others that there were already so many people inside the store waiting, and she was told to wait outside. Oh dear
In 30 minutes while I was waiting, the line became so long, and I could not see the end of the line when they started passing out the booklet.

Anyway, it was a good job for a lazy person like me. I'm a bit proud of myself

lucky you! :dance2: i've already given up.

Seeing as the probability of Hanyu ever skating to this song is 0.00000001%, I decided to edit his Etude SP to the music of Filet by Benoît Jutras. Mostly because I would love to see him skate to something fierce and explosive. The editing is kinda sloppy in parts, but I hope someone enjoys it :) I'd also love to see him wear a black and red costume.

Filet
