I might not stay up to watch Lena skate today, so GOOO LENA!!!! :cheer:

It's going to be interesting for her because Sergei is skating right before her--I'm not sure she's had to deal with that recently (Inna having to look after another skater right before Lena skates). GOOD LUCK!!!

Well, I was wondering if she was going to go for the 3T after the 3F, which she has never done before in competition (maybe not even in practice), but of course our gutsy girl did. Unfortunately this time she couldn't save the landing. :no: I wasn't at all surprised when she popped that axel.

But she went on selling the program like she always does, and that's why I love her!! :yes:

Don't feel too bad, Lena, everyone has a bad competition sometimes!! :cheer:
 
Anyone here watching TCC? Im reading from TCC thread.... what was Lena's reaction?

Lena looked super disappointed in herself when she immediately finished, but she managed to smile for the crowd before she left the ice. I was worried she might cry in the K&C, but she didn't. The other Team Europe members gave her a big group hug, which was sweet. :luv17: And Zhenya (who was standing behind her) gave her a little shoulder squeeze.

We share in that jinx! I usually will not watch her live, but tonight I decided it was safe. Ugh, I wanted to go hug her. She looked like she was going to break down. Hopefully she can deliver a good skate tomorrow and put this difficult season behind her.
 
I think Lena spoiled us a bit with her consistency and now we are all suprised that even she falls and pops her jumps from time to time ;)

I was worried that this competition would turn out just like CoC, that Lena wouldn't be able to pull herself together, but she did it! Sure, it wasn't perfect, but she proved to herself that she could fight to the end!! :agree:

And OMG, THANK YOU FOR GOING BACK TO THE EUROS DRESS!!! :yahoo: I ADORE that dress. I see that they cut the skirt so it was easier to skate in. It looks gorgeous!! :love:

I'm glad she was able to end her season on a happy note, and I was so happy to see her having fun in the K&C with Team Europe. :biggrin:

Oh, I forgot to add that Lena's SP problems were totally my fault. I forgot to take my necessary anti-jinx precautions, but today I did, and it worked! I wore my Team Russia jacket, AND I looked at pictures of Audrey Hepburn (Lena's idol) to send her good vibes.

It was kinda a rough day on the boards for our girl. Glad she had a better free and was happy and having a good time with her team.

Someone set up a thread that really serves no purpose but to bash Elena and some people really appreciated the opportunity. There is one person who posts and everytime I see the screen name I know it's likely shade being thrown at Elena. Someone does not like her skating, I am cool with that, but this person insulted Elena's looks. She's not beautiful. She has this problem and that problem. Listed a bunch of skaters that the poster believes is more beautiful.

People were complaining because they felt Elena was rude because she got after Evgenia's short instead of waiting for Evgenia's scores. Never mind that Elena had to actually go get ready for her own short. Then they claimed she snubbed her Russian teammates after her own short, but embraced others from the European teams.

Apparently Elena was taking a beatening on Evgenia's fan page such he Evgenia had to intervene and tell her fans they were wrong, she and Elena have a decent relationship, and that the fans need to be more respectful. Evgenia even had to tell some of these people that Elena needed to go get warmed up for her skate and she appreciated the fact that Elena watched Evgenia skate. Evgenia scored some points with me. She has class.

I am glad the season is over for our girl. She can go get a rest, recharge, and start getting ready for next season. I hope next season will be a lot better for her because it broke my heart to see her just about to break down yesterday.

I saw the thread bashing Lena and didn't bother to read it, but I did see all those comments on the Russian forums about Lena supposedly snubbing Zhenya, so I'm glad Zhenya defended Lena. She scored points with me too. :yes:

Do we know if Lena is going to be in the gala?

I hope Lena passes her exams and then has a good relaxing vacation. :agree:

She has a lot she needs to work on, and I'm sure she's aware of it. :yes:

I was thinking when watching the SP that Lena looked taller (again), and sure enough, apparently on Periscope she said she's 167cm now (versus 165cm a few months ago). Still, I think the most dramatic body changes are behind her; I think she'll just get a bit taller and a bit more filled-out from here.

I watched Evgenia's SP and saw Lena. "Are you watching closely?" :cool14:
She was only one Lady from all three teams who stayed to watch Medvedeva's Sp.
And i asking you?! Why she did it? We must bash her for that!:bang:

I didn't watch the whole TCC so i am not so aware to what happened. I dont want to haha I know some poster here don't appreciate Lena and few are very active on bashing her :) Im glad Zhenya said those things :)

Sadly she doesn't get to go to school! Too busy training. The teachers come to her after practice. :biggrin:

Yes, Lena does need to work on being more graceful, but in her heart of hearts, she has always been a pop princess!! And a sassy one!! And this EX was just PERFECT for her.
