Is it still a thing in Russia? I remember like 10 years ago hookah suddenly become very popular in Russia. It literally was available everywhere. Lounges, nightclubs, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, brunch places. If I would had seen people puffing hookah in metro back then, you know I would not be be totally surprised.
And every year after when I was traveling in Russia, I noticed all that hookah hype kinda dialed down a bit. I visited Russia and Sochi this winter, I had an impression what it is not that popular to puff hookah and even smoke cigarettes any more.

It is still popular, but not as popular as in 2000s, you're correct. I have my very own hookah, I keep in my closet and don't even remember last time I used it.
Edit: and smoke cigarettes in public places is actually prohibited by law now. People still smoke of course, but not nearly as much as before.

So Tuktik Is actually not a shy and not a poster "good girl" type. She is rebellious soul, huh. 
But the music selection seriously bothering me. I'm really pissed kinda, in a funny way, but still pissed. I would pull her ear a bit if I would be her parent, even though she is already an adult and independent woman. :sarcasm:
Gosh, after all she lives in Piter now. The city is awesome and famous for its rockability boheme and great underground music scene. Kinda like San Francisco of Russia. A lot of artistic and creative people move to Piter for it broad music scene and hippish charm. There are a lot of indy music clubs and tons of music and culture events of different styles and vibes. There are a lot of great music bands in Piter. And I'm not even talking about Gergiev maestro himself in famous Mariinsky or Conservatory. And Tukti girl hangs out with that? With that kinda music? For crying out loud! Really?
