Yuzuru Hanyu: 2015-16 Season

Well, it is still technically mid-May now. Hopefully we will hear something soon. There should at least be music in mind by now if the plan is to learn choreography by June. I don't know how long it should take to construct a choreography/program. But I would assume the whole process can't be done within a day or two right?

About the time for coreo, i recently knew that Jeff made FP for Marin during his stay for JSOI in Japan in this April. I assume his stay was about two weeks. Further, i dont know well about JSOI, but Jeff must have been busy for directer/coreograher of the group numbers or so. I was surised he must have completed FP in a short time. Of course, Junior Worlds ended around the middle of March, and they may have discussed fully till the coreograph work.

GPF Chopin practice...love the arms movements at 0:02min.

Whenever I see performance photos of Yuzu, they are almost picture perfect from top to toe and all the way to fingertips.

Even when he is not skating, looks like he is picking up something....bugs

I think his practices are like treasures.
yuzu is picture perfect even when he is skating. He's improved with his positions. they get beautiful. He surely has much artistry.
Further, fan's job is so fast!

An actor in Yuzu's recent movie was in an interview and he shared his chat with Yuzu backstage.

He asked Yuzu if lots of people in figure skating are gay and Yuzu said yes. Then he asked Yuzu if he is gay too and Yuzu firmly replied no, he is not.

I find this talk interesting!. I cant explain well about the funny nuance, but they seem to talk honestly without complimentflattery.

Translating a newspaper article someone posted today. I couldn't find a web version but I think it's this newspaper.

There was an awards ceremony for the Tohoku Sports Journalists Club(?) at a hotel in Sendai on the 16th. Yuzuru's father received the Sports Award, a certificate and a trophy, on his behalf. This is the 3rd consecutive year that he's won this award, and 4th in total.

Yuzuru sent a message by email. "From the numerous athletes from Tohoku who played significant roles in their sport, I'm honored (to be chosen) to received this award. I want to work hard to set my goals and aim to give performances that I can be satisfied with again this season.
It's been 5 years since the Tohoku Earthquake and I hear that many people in Kumamoto are currently living under difficult conditions. I hope that everyone will be able to go back to their normal lives as soon as possible."

Tomorrow, I’m going to see the movie.

Honestly, I’m a bit worried about his performance. Yes, the director and actors have the good words for him, but still I suspect they are from some complement or commercial. If his performances are out of harmony among the leading actors! I’m sure I will share my true views without a lie.
Anyway, his challenging spirits and earnest and sincere attitudes towards his hometown are respectable. I'm looking forward to seeing his job with his whole body and crying.

People outside the movie circle have been saying he's done well, even the author of the novel. So I'm sure that while he's not a stellar actor (that's not his job after all, lol) his acting was good and you won't be disappointed.

I'm used to YouTube, so it's a bit frustrating you can't repeat the scene right away when you are in the move theater.

So just enjoy! Warning:you will get very nervous when Yuzu's appearance is coming because we all know that scene very well: I was like "Now his turn? Now??" It's just like when we are waiting for Yuzu to skate in GPF or World.

You repeat so early! further, you'll see 3 times in total! I've heard his time is short. 2 or 3 minutes? I must keep concentration when he comes and wont miss his last lines! :agree:

I can't recall tbh. What I do remember is Brian is the one who mentioned this? After they decide to keep Chopin? It was in an interview apparently? I am not sure, but I don't think this was a speculation?
