Apparently today was the day that Taka's wedding ceremony. (I didn't know that)

So happy for them

Congratulations to the happy couple :)

Another one of the bride in a traditional attire from the same person.
Yukari-san in a kimono.

Some blurry photos from these blogs of people who were invited.

(Shizuka and the Satos can be seen on the 5th photo from the top)

Close up of the 3D miniature figures.

Presents given out to the guests at the wedding.
The famous "Yukari" prawn crackers and another type with "Takahiko" written on them.
A plate with a horse and a piece of bread. (hard to explain in English, but it's a Kozuka joke)
A Phiten Rakuwa bracelet.
The same twitter user says that Nobu and Dai sent out video messages and that Nobu took his clothes off(?!)

From Haruna Suzuki's tweet.

Thanks!
Have you watched the air on BS TV yesterday?
The show is nice, but about singers, Sarah and Okamoto last year were better! I dont dislike Kawabata, but I don’t want to hear JPOP in the latter FaOI. There, I wish classical music other than JPOP centric taste! Ilia and Brian should skate with another piece... Further, I miss Sarah. Her pure and clear voice is much beautiful than you watch her on screen. Further, she’s so pretty like a princess.
Of course, the loss of the absence of yuzu feels bigger and bigger…
I was going to go to Nagano last week if Kobe felt attractive. But I’ve decided not to go watching Kobe..

Other than that, I find yuna’s new LP is so promising and agree with her choice of piece. The coreo will be more complicated and emotional during the season. Looking her jump and skating is so fun and exciting!
Im glad to see Johnny’s moonlight sonata! I think the cheer voice for him is biggest or the same as Stephane.
The last performance of Stephane is just awesome, mindblogging together with Fukuma-san (Fukuma-sam is always nice. I want to go to his concert.)!
Akiko’s black swan is brilliant as many people say.

ETA: The whole video of FaOI except last part is uploaded and i post it to the FaOI thread in THE EDGE (is is OK, mikaboo?). http://www.goldenskate.com/forum/sh...-(FaOI)-2016&p=1446362&viewfull=1#post1446362

Sure! :agree: And thanks.
No need to ask me about it, I don't own the videos. Other people do all the hard work

About the show, I'll get back to you after I watch some of the programs again.

Thanks!

Okay, so I just went back to watch some of the programs I wasn't concentrating on during the broadcast.
I don't really like any of the singers they had this year. Too distracting for me and I'm not into J-pop so that doesn't help. The only collaboration with a singer that I could watch without skipping was Akiko's Ave Maria.
I'm glad Stephane could collaborate with Fukuma-san. I liked both of his programs here. I also liked Tatiana/Maxim's Bollywood, Jeff's Cry Me A River, Brian's Sarabande Suite and both of Akiko's.
I agree, I wish Brian and Ilia could have skated to something else.
I think I like Jeff and Johnny better when I see them live. They really grab your attention no matter how far your seat is from the ice rink.
I wanted to add Nobu's Storm but he fell so I had to exclude it :( but it would be one of my favorites if he skated to it cleanly.
I also find Marin and Yuna's programs promising. I especially like Marin's new SP. It suits her well although it looks similar to both her SP and FS from this season so in that sense, Yuna's might become more interesting as the season progresses.

If I were going to FaOI this year, I definitely wouldn't choose Nagano because Marin and Yuna won't be there (and they won't be replaced by anyone which seems unfair for the audience). I think the Kobe show might have been the best for me. I prefer the voices of Kawabata over Kahara and the opera singer Suzuki over Fujisawa.

This might be a stupid question but do you know why they bring in different choreographers for the second half of the tour? I don't understand the purpose of bringing in Brian and David when they already have Jeff. Or if Jeff is too busy, they could get Kenji who is already involved. Maybe it's the name value but it's not like they advertise the show that way.

I was reading a blog of a Sota fan and found this video link for 2013 Inter Junior High School Meet. Only 3 years ago, but they are all babies!
Part 1
SP highlights of Shoma, Taichi Honda, Yura Matsuda, Mai Mihara, Riona Kato, Satoko, Risa Yamanaka.
FS highlights of Taichi, Sota, Shoma (full)

Part 2
FS highlights of Yura, Satoko, Riona (full), and the medal ceremony.
Shoma and Riona were the winners.

According to this Facebook page, Mai Mihara will turn senior next season.
Mai and Ryuju will be skating in an exhibition in Niigata this weekend. I don't know if it's been posted here before, but during the broadcast of NYOI in January, the announcer said that she was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) after she returned from JGPF and was hospitalised for the rest of the year. I'm not familiar with JIA at all, but I hope it's something she can overcome with good medicine. It's good to see that she's well enough to skate in front of an audience.

Oh dear, that's a serious disease. It's basically juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune inflammatory joint disease. She may have to deal with that for the rest of her life.

:( I've been hearing about the poor girl's knee pains since her 2nd JGP and wondered why she was slowing declining after a good start of the season. I didn't like the sound of JIA and thought maybe she'd have to stop competing but she is a tough girl for not giving up. I think they said on NYOI that she'll have to relearn all her techniques. I really hope her condition is not as bad as the disease sounds. Actually, she looked quite good there even though she was only doing double jumps. She looked taller too.

Sota, Marin, Satoko, Rika, Yuhana and Wakaba spotted on the news this week, taking the obligatory lecture class required for athletes who receive funding from JSC.
From 1:32

The first part of the video is about Marin with Mima Ito (table tennis player). They were given awards from the Ministry of Education for their accomplishments at international competitions.

Sota and Marin with a speed skater. Sota posted the same photo on his Instagram. He was happy about getting a photo taken with Homare Sawa (former women’s soccer player). Sota might have been awarded also since he’s wearing a suit.
-----------

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but the schedule for regionals/sectionals/nationals are out.
