Skate America and France for our lovely couple :cheer:

I think this is great for them- pretty much the schedule with the least jet lag possible unless they were going to do both SkAm and SkCan, and those are right on top of each other so not ideal anyway. SkCan is also a total bloodbath, they are well out of it, though SkAm also looks like it will be rough... France is a bit easier though PapCiz are obviously there too.

I`m happy with the assignments. It`s great that they were chosen for Skate America. Ice Dance is very competitive nowadays, so any GP would have been difficult. Can`t wait for the season to begin

For sure but honestly some are definitely more difficult than others...

I agree. It looks like it'll be an uphill battle to podium at either assignment: SA has two of the top US teams plus Bobrova/Soloviev, and France has P/C, H/D again, G/P, and Coomes/Buckland.

Hoping we hear some program news from Ruslena soon! :)

I`m just glad we won`t have again the I/Z vs. S/K crap at CoR. I`m really done with that.

So, now that we know I/Z will be at SA, we can start to guess which Senior B would fit best their schedule.

I think Nepela or Finlandia would fit their schedule. Both are 2-3 weeks after the Russian test skates, but they would have enough time to make adjustments before their first GP.

I`m so jealous that you both can see Ruslena live!

I could go to Paris, but there is no way that I will get a day off. Grrr!

Anyway, I bought my tickets for Worlds in Helsinki. Hopefully, Ruslena will be there, too. :)

I like the assignments too and seeing these two at SA might be enough to make me pull the trigger.

I hate flying too MK but I've been doing it so much lately that I've sort of gotten used to it. I almost look forward to the turbulence nowadays  It will be worth it most certain

Oh I get the dropsies. I hate going up and landing has me grabbing things. It's only 2 hours though...

I would like them to do 2 Senior Bs, for the ranking points. Igor likes to send his teams to Nebelhorn, but it's just a week after test skates. But it would be good if they could go, the judges are usually very fair & strict, more than they are at other events.

I'm so happy IZ got two assignments! And they didn't even need a home spot! :yahoo: I think both their events are doable. Both have a Worlds medalist team, obviously, but I think IZ should be able to compete successfully with everyone else. (Not saying they aren't as good or better than any of the Worlds medalists either, but resume judging and home soil advantages make such upsets more difficult.) The good thing is they could have ended up in the same event with CL, WP and/or VM in addition to the Boston medalist team, and none of this has happened! That's a miracle! All the other events are more complicated, especially SC and NHK.

Finlandia is usually also very strict. Weaver/Poje got hammered last year on their levels. I agree, that I/Z should do 2 Senior Bs if possible. As of now, their Word Ranking would bring them in the first warm up group at TEB and the second at SA. To get into the last warm up group at TEB they need to be above Testa/Csolley in the rankings. Their point gap as of now is only 118 points.

Just do it! We need more GSer's at SkAm, last year was dead!

Got my time off work sorted! Next project might be to make an enormous Ruslena banner! It's great they will have so many people cheering for them at all their events.
