I think it's a nice analogy. It means Brian is checking on everyone, making sure they're doing ok, then going back around to whoever needs help. The little sheep and shepherd analogy is good too... you don't want the sheep getting lost. Brian's TCC philosophy was many coaches in the rink offering advice and encouragement to the skaters, that way no one is ignored. I think grazing is a good thing.

Though I am not against the idea of these two teaching at all. Their students would have mad jumping techniques
