Yuzuru Hanyu: 2016-17 Season

I dreamt a few weeks back that I was looking at the list of short program music at skate canada and as I was looking at yuzu's I woke up, just as I was saying "oh no." I hope I will not say that in real life, lol.
Hope he was able to have a nice visit with his family and friends before he had to do his off ice sponsor work, etc..

While we waiting, Angelica @YHIFG FB roughly translated an excerpt from Aoi Hono II, Scene 3 (2012):
Parisian Walkways was a programme that kept making new world records (t/n. 1st time was at Skate America, Oct 2012, SP score of 95.07. Then it broke records 3 more times, the last one being 101.45 at Sochi Olympics in 2014.). It was choreographed by Jeffrey Buttle in Canada. ‘When we hear this music, we think of Yuzuru Hanyu’, ‘when you say Yuzuru Hanyu, it’s this music’, this was said among the Japanese people later on.
Hanyu said this about his first impressions of it. “At first, I felt it was a 'Jeff-like' programme; I thought it would be better that Jeff himself did it. (laughs) But as I skated it more, a lot of my own choreography also came out.”

I have similar thoughts when I see programs done by Jeff, not that it would be better or worse if he skated it, but that it's so obvious that he choreographed it
all those difficult steps in between each element but that match the music so well. They are not easy to perform at all, but when they are done by skaters with great skills who can also make each program their own like Yuzuru does, the result it truly wonderful. I'm so happy they are working together again this season.- Joined

Schedule for 2016 Autumn Classic...not sure whether Yuzu will compete there this year too.

I don't remember when was the competition last year, but if he does participate he'd have about 3-4 weeks before SC... That can work in the schedule but it will clearly depends on how long he's staying in Japan with his commercial contracts. And he was away for so long, he deserves a break with his family.
Not directly related to Yuzuru but JGP Yokohama will be held on Sept 7-11 and Roman Sadovsky and Cha Jun Hwan were both assigned there, (hence I expect Brian Orser to be in Japan during that time) which means it is unlikely that Yuzuru will return to Toronto before that? :think: (Again this is all speculation lol)
I can't wait too! Perhaps, among skaters who revealed their programs, he probably is one of the last. At least music hints, pretty please?
I hope so, I don't mind waiting a bit more, I just hope we get at least a tiny info about his new programs, Skate Canada is still far away.

You're right. Guess it will be more on whether he will go to Autumn Classic or not.
If you are referring to Shirota's interview she did not say he would not join CS or skip GP, but she said that Yuzuru want to join a competition prior to GP series however it will depend on his condition and also assured that he would not force himself, thus leaving the door open of him joining CS. Someone here said AC deadline is 26th of Aug so I guess we will know by then.

No one from Yuzu's team said that there was any thought of skipping first GP, Shirota said that Yuzu is willing to attend smaller competition before the GP series start, but it will dependon his condition and readiness, He is also ready to start season later, take everything slow, do not rush... "We thought it is okay to have more rest this season" -Shirota
