Javier Fernandez

Cute but all the same facial expression and pose with his fans. :laugh2:

Javi certainly expands the interest in figure skating in his home. The spectators seem really enjoying the show.

Hot double World champion! I like the new costume.

Thanks for the updates, and yes, internet is a great source for us.

WOW, now it is over 300000 views... The numbers have risen so quickly after the second Worlds title!

Everybody (or at least very many?) loves a winner? But considering his long career and great success over the past couple of years, the numbers are still relatively low compared to many younger (and less successful) skaters (for example Shoma Uno or Jason Brown). More JF fans are welcome to come our of their closets!

One more quad from Andorra: https://www.instagram.com/p/BJLhy5nB5kN/?tagged=javierfernandez (a ski-jump landing attempt that one?)

And I'm not really sure if I would learn how to do a flying sit spin based on this explanation :scratch2: (from Stars on Ice): https://twitter.com/starsonice/status/765658505550233602

I agree with the Shibutanis, that bit was more than enough

More Prof Javi: https://www.instagram.com/p/BJN0LXZAeX6/ (I kind of love these as I am at the mo preparing classes etc. for next month...)

Haha I used to think it was a pity that they didn't make him sing a little bit for the SuperJavi soundtrack. Now I guess maybe it was the right decision.

Ah, the new semester is approaching... and the summer is almost over.

Is there any rumour about Javi competing at B event prior to his first GP assignment? I'd love to see his new programs before GP if possible.:)

Love this video clip. I picture Javi being another Stephane Lambiel after he retires and being really active with teaching skating, doing training camps, etc., just like Stephane.

Yeah, I couldn't get most of it, but Javi said that the rink in Andorra is in great conditions (they like the city and the people too) and that even though he can jump quads like they're nothing, he never forgets the basics and is teaching that to the kids there. He also stated the need to increase the number of registered skaters in countries without FS tradition, in order to get more talented athletes out there.
The tickets for the exhibition are only 15 euros!

At least the way that guy spoke, Catalan was almost easier for me to understand than Spanish... It's not as fast and there's less changes between written and pronunciation etc. It just takes a bit of time to derive the meaning of the words based on my Italian and Latin.

From Stars on Ice yesterday https://twitter.com/starsonice/status/766323018821935104 (Javi looks so tiny compared to Eric and Andrew [but they are about 20 cm taller than he is], but what a handsome trio!)
