If it includes flight it sounds about normal, no?
If he is not ready then he will just cancel. I think it is pretty normal to cancel, a lot of skaters even do it for GP series or even GPF (or worlds, or olympics, lol).

well, I'm sure people would understand, or at least I hope so. But if someone spends that much money just to see Yuzu (it's not like we haven't heard about that before) and then he's not there :roll9: if they don't have any regrets about spending that kind of money, then I propose one of them marries me because they must be millionaires

I meant the flight from tokyo to montreal itself should be over 1000 dollars
Including accommodation, transportation, food etc for 6 days I think this should be on the normal side. But if it was me, well, 3000 bucks just to see Yuzuru would be...

Deadline is 26th August from what I know. Maybe that is why they decide to announce it now cause his name will be on the entry list either way whether in the end he decide to cancel or not.
The deadline is Aug 26. Fans will find out his name is on the entry list when the entry list is published, whether or not JSF makes the announcement. Fans will rush to buy tickets to see him. JSF's announcement is just a warning to fans that Yuzuru might withdraw. So if fans decide to buy tickets and end up not seeing Yuzuru there, then they will just have to accept that because they have been warned beforehand.

I don't think the tickets would be the main problem. Last year you could only buy them at the venue, if I remember correctly. And if I understood the google translation right, then that tour package doesn't include tickets? So I guess it will be the same this year. I think travel arrangements are the bigger issue. (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
I meant the flight, accommodation and all other costs associated with watching Yuzuru at that competition, not just the actual ticket price.
Yuzuru did withdraw from Finlandia two years ago and many fans already booked their flights to Finland, and a TV network even bought the broadcasting right, only to find out that Yuzuru withdrew at the last minute. I think JSF's announcement is to warn everybody (fans, TV network) that Yuzuru might not show up at all and if they want to take the chance, they have been warned.

It seems there is a "possibility" of advance tickets this year...
From the event website,
"Tickets will be available at the door Sportsplexe Pierrefonds during the following hours below. For information about advance ticket sales, email [email protected]"
I suspect they will limit any advance sales, and reserve most tickets for sale at the door... and they might give the cold shoulder to bulk orders from eg. tour companies... but who knows? Anybody care to email them? :-D

Well if health permits, maybe he can just do his short and withdraw, to test the waters and get a feel for being in front of a crowd again.It has been a long time and it give his fans a chance to see him. This is the first time in....what? 6+ years that they weren't able to see him during summer shows. Of course, if he feels unprepared then he should withdraw. It's not just about health. He wants to peak at 4CC/olympics. SCAC is 1 month before SC. If he skips the senior B, he can postpone his peak and injuries by 1 month. So his condition would still be ok by the time of 4CC/olympics, which is 1.5 months after national. The more competitions he does in the 1st half of the season, the more stress his body endures because he will practice a lot in order to prepare for competitions (Nam said Yuzuru does 80 quads a day. That number may be an exaggeration, but half of that number wouldn't be surprising). Injuries will happen sooner or later given the intensity of his training and the difficulty of his layout. It's better to be later than sooner, at least let the injuries occur after 4cc/olympics not before 4cc/olympics.
I personally hope he skips senior B.

Hello I am going to Autumn Classic in Pierrefonds, Montreal, just to see Yuzuru. I live in Montreal, just about 30 minutes by car or one hour by public transportation (bus and subway), so it is not too difficult for me. If Yuzu is not there, I still have a chance to see him at Skate Canada in Mississauga.
Hope to see him skate very soon.
