So his programs will be revealed on the 13th? :eeking:
The article doesn't specify what's going to happen :) it just says that Orser told them that JSF said the magazine couldn't publish anything about Yuzu's new music before the press conference on September 13th. So we'll probably at least get to know about the music choices, but it doesn't say if we actually get to see anything of the new programs (though of course I would hope that we at least get practice snippets :palmf:)

Thank you! I'm happy even if we only get to know the music tbh :)

Oh so we at least will have a press conference right?

There seems to be an uproar about this article in social media. A lot of people are confused about the magazine, haha. So just to confirm. this is the September/October issue of Pirouette magazine right? The one with Lutricia bock on the cover? If that so, the interview took place in early August so maybe plans could change (just to prepare myself from disappointment hahaha) :hopelessness:

Yes it is.

the article says that the author visited TCC on August 2nd  won't get any more specific than that unless you want the time of day

edit:

If you want a more direct translation of that part:
"Orser was informed by the Japanese federation that 'Pirouette' is only allowed to publish his new musics after a press conference on September 13th, which is unfortunately shortly after this issue will be published."

("musics" is not even a word I think  but in German they used the plural here)

Yes, of course :laugh2:
Thanks, Pamigena! Is it almost that time to speculate about costume again?

it will be a shame if he needs to drop 4T completely, but at least the gap will be filled with quad loop

In case there's still any confusion about this: the information came from an article in a German figure skating magazine (actually the only one I'm aware of. And figure skating is in no way big here, so this isn't some gossip journal but a reputable magazine). It's from an article about TCC in the September issue of Pirouette magazine. (the cover and the first one of this two-page article had already been posted and partly translated). I did a more direct translation of the parts regarding Yuzuru just to clear things up.

Ten days prior at Skate Detroit, Orser told me that during my planned visit on August 2nd, both Hanyu and Javier Fernandez would be there for training, plus many others of course.

[...]

I could watch Yuzuru Hanyu and can confirm what Lutricia Bock and Lea Johanne Dastich said during Skate Detroit (see page 14). He tried a lot of quads (except axel and toe loop), he landed a lot of them, but he sometimes also landed on his butt. I hadn't planned an interview [with him] because that would only have been possible with prior approval by the Japanese federation, but he was happy about the cover picture of the last issue of Pirouette magazine.

Orser also told me about him: He had been in Canada the whole time and had cancelled shows in Japan. In April and May he had to take a break due to an injury of the left midfoot, which had burdened him since last autumn, especially when doing 4T. For the first time he hadn't been treated by doctors in Japan but in Toronto, and at the beginning of August he was still doing therapy with a Toronto-based Japanese specialist. The pain when doing 4T is the main reason why he trains the other quads so intensively but still doesn't want to do the 4T. However, 4Lo and 4S work about 70% of the time and he will probably show them in the free skate. Orser was informed by the Japanese federation that Pirouette is only allowed to publish his new music [they use the plural of the word, so they mean both SP and FS] after a press conference on September 13th, which is unfortunately shortly after this issue will be published. The small Autumn Classic event at the end of September in Pierrefonds, Montreal, is supposed to be his first competition. There are only about 600 seats for spectators, so, like last year in Barrie, we can expect things to get cramped.

So basically all the information came from Orser. But before anybody gets a fit: he's obviously aware of which information he can and cannot share about Yuzuru and his training. Otherwise why would he mention the restrictions about things that he can't say. And I would think the information about the press conference on the 13th is pretty solid, too.

Sorry, could you clarify this part, please: he doesn't want to do (train) 4T or he doesn't want to quit 4T whatsover?

It reads like "doesn't want to do 4T during training yet" and not like he wants to quit the jump altogether (if that's what you mean)

Well, by the look of things I would predict he will be doing from now on only 1 4T at best in FS, and 4S3T 4Lo in SP

No idea. It really isn't very specific. It only says that they can't say anything about his new music because Orser had been told they weren't allowed to publish anything before that press con. I guess it's a reasonable assumption that they will announce his music then at that press conference, but that's really all you can read into it.

thanks for your quick reply!

as days go by everything seems more and more and more surreal .

To sum up all the info I'd assume he'd go for 4 quads in LP (I'm inclined to believe Javi's words) and might put quad sal combo into the first half minding he wanted to put all hard jumps into the 1st half (2T in 4S+2T does not make much difference either way). This is just a speculation of course, as I still can't wrap my head around 4 quads considering the injury, the stamina, but on the other hand knowing Yuzuru, he might not consider replacing 4T with 4Lo as challenge and development at all.

What other skater has had his/her music announced at a press conference? He really is their golden goose, isn't he? It will be interesting to find out all the details.

It might not be a conference but several minutes on tivi news.

Wasn't the info about POTO revealed when they had some TV team at the Cricket Club and then we got news clips about that? Maybe they were talking more "press date" and less "press conference". It seems likely :confused2:
(it was probably an interview in English that got translated to German and then back to English, so things are bound to get lost in translation)
