Alexander Petrov

3T (not a popped quad , intentional. Dmitriev also.), 3A-2T, 3A/ 3Lz, 3F-1lo-3S, 3Lz-2T Rippon (I think it was a 2T, couldn't see clearly), 1Lo (pulled out of 3Lo at last min), 2A.
Was very tired. They added a few transitions. One cute move in which he does a spread eagle while checking his "watch" before entering the 3Lz. So cheeky and very Sasha. They also changed the final combo spin, looks more aesthetic now. Not clean but good job.

I'm going to download the periscope video now and cut it.

Edit:
I think he needs more choreo before the second 3A (or somewhere ard there). More upper body movement. The music in the early part of the program is kind of low tempo, would help get more energy into the program if they add more choreo.

So choreo & performance-wise - not counting jumps - would you say that it's an improvement from the last outing?

I can't tell. He's like an ant on the periscope stream. I'm in the process of cutting the video and I will trim off the top and bottom so that Sasha appears larger on the screen, if you get what I mean. But I like the new bits they added into the program, the transitions and spin changes.

I think he's just really tired. Many people don't understand that these performances actually mark the end of a week-long assessment by the Fed. They check everything in the program and you may have to make changes according to their suggestions so some of the skaters are actually doing modified programs. That's why Mishin doesn't demand that his skaters do a 100% full layout. Why risk injury from a fall when you're fatigued.

Yes. There is no reason to risk it, either. What does it signify? It's a good chance for us to get a good look at the programs, and therefore I certainly am glad these test skates exist. But the end portion is basically, as you've noted, an exhibition for the public. This will matter little as the season progresses.

Yeah, don't waste time on it - especially since hopefully we'll get a good video in a few hours at least.:)
While we're waiting for the HD video, maybe Mishin will give an interview to a news outlet. Hopefully. He hasn't give one in months.

So true. Come on, Papa Mishin:
