2016 JGP Mordovia Ladies SP

Polina may have gigantic jumps, but Liza has the full package. When she gets her jumps right she will be dangerous.

Umm... I think Nugumanova was underscored. The UR + stepout is about -3.5 pts. So where did she lose another 2 TES pts. vs. Konstantinova?

edit: Well, Nugumanova is just not getting the top woman benefits on the scores because Rus. Fed. is not banking on her right now. It's OK though, shes not age eligibe for the Olympics so she can wait out the bloodbath that will involve Tsurskaya, Honda and company.

Why are skaters from Mishin's school struggling so much with jumps? He literally wrote the book on technique, after all.

I guess the season is over for Nugumanova, she might finish 4th or 5th after the FS, she will get dinged with URS

Panenkova is substitute in Estonia, also Samodurova is a sub right ?

or I might be wrong, Nugumanova has been moved to JGP Germany ? :scratch3: so Samodurova might get her spot.

last time I checked she was listed in Tallinn.

She might still podium after the FS.

No chance, a UR is a big sin in IJS on par with single jumps.
Samodurova should definitely get her second spot imo.

I believe juniors with underrotations like Lozko and Nugumanova should never get a JGP until this is fixed.

why them sent Liza or Sonya, if they should sent Stasya if she will take 2nd place overall here

Lozko is suppose to go to Slovenia right ?

Lozko should be replaced by Konstantinova
Nugumanova should be replaced by Samodurova

there is simple no place for underrotations, Its a big big sin in IJS....

On the other hand, in IN, CO, PE Liza is claimed to be about one point below Polina. I do not agree.

Only four place if I remember right. Gubanova, Zagitova, Tsurskaya and should be Konstantinova.

I think Polina has the full package. Her performance skills will develop, I am sure of that. Of course she has a different style from Nugumanova who is more of a cheerful, outgoing performer. Polina may seem to be a bit reserved, but she is much more elegant and has beautiful long finished lines. Also I am afraid that Nugumanova won't be able to fix her URs. She is tiny now and usually these problems get worse as a skater gets older, grows and develops a more womanly body. I wish her all the best though. Hoepfully she is proving me wrong. She seems to have a lovely personality.

I do not agree, but usually if your Technical jumps don't do well, PCS will follow downwards.
especially in juniors, there is no leniency compared to seniors.

I think that Mishin is resting on some old laurels. He was great whith the Urmanov-Yagudin-Plushenko triad, whith Plush being one of the most noted athletes in Russia's history. He also got Liza to do one incredibly dominant season... but no more (I mean we are talking about a woman who was on her way to be the best jumper in history and now we have her talking about being insecure with her 3A... not even mentioning an unstable, easy 3T-3T). Unfortunately, I think that he is somewhat overrated as a coach.

please take some time and find out. I beg you. puppy eyes.
Denise Richards she resembles very much.

On topic: I was blown away by Polina Tsurskaya again this year. This is Unsane. Having this height and keeping enormous jumps is incredible. And she's much smoother skater this year. How I wish her to stay healthy going senior. Then we'll have 2018 OGM decided with high level of certainty.
Lisa's skating does not impress me so much. But her personality shines bright. She's Elena Ilinykh of singles skating in the making.
