Aww, I'm sort of sad, I wanted to see Cindy's video too!

Thank you sooo much Kiches, any special moments or thoughts about the first practice? And how were the 'competition' doing? he was training with Max Aaron and Misha, how were their elements looking?

I actually uploaded a few extra videos from practice. I'll be entirely honest, I was so focused on watching Yuzu that I missed some of the other guy's runt throughs.

The parts about Yuzu that I remember:
* Him sort of laughing at himself and sticking out his tongue when he popped the lutz.
* Seem to pop 4S3T a few times when he was practicing it for the SP, landed a couple times too.
* I think he may have accidentally gotten in Daniel Samohin's way (slightly) at one point, and he put his hands together and bowed his head as an apology - I think Daniel nodded in acknowledgement.
* You can see the Japanese news reporters setting up to film him, and other Japanese skaters. I sat next to where TV Asahi had a camera set up.
* Overall it seemed like a very good practice, I didn't get the sense that he was pushing himself too hard in this practice session seeing as he didn't do parts of his program.
* The parts of his SP he practiced are SUPER fast and truly crazy. I loved it.

All in all Autumn Classic is a much smaller event, and this rink is very intimate, it gives it a very quiet yet private experience that you probably wouldn't get at grand prix or other major Championship. The seats are actually bench like bleachers and they only go up about 10-15 rows, so any spot is a good spot and close to the rink.

OMG look at how many pages I needed to catch up lol.

Thanks a lot kiches for the report and practice video!! I have yet to see it but will do later! :thank:
Glad to read that things seem to be looking bright for Yuzu. Let's hope he can continue doing well for this competition. Also looking forward for his costumes  (Yuzu dear, please don't surprise me too much, yea..)

So here's the thing... I kind of don't want to see the practice video.

Yuzuru Hanyu is special to me, but Joe Hisaishi music is just as special.

As a tribute to Hanyu and Hisaishi (and okay, a little bit to Tursynbaeva), I watched Mononoke Hime last night. According to my diary, I hadn't seen it in 13.5 years. The few times I tried watching it again, I never got past the first fifteen minutes. Too painful to watch, it's such a dark story and that music, it kills me (even when I play it on the piano, I get teary-eyed). Fair warning to those unfortunate enough to be sitting in my immediate area at Worlds 2017: I will be a crying MESS during the Hisaishi programs. You have been warned. :drama:

It is infinitely gratifying to read all your comments on his LP program, that apparently it's beautifully choreographed to the music etc. That is how it should be, worthy of Yuzu's skills and Hisaishi's music. I cannot wait for myself to succumb to the excitement and watch the practice video. I don't think I can hold out til the actual FS... but I am gonna try. :agree:

Weeee, thank you for the pictures, and the videos and this wonderful report to top it all :thank:.

It's brilliant that you are there and willing to share with us, I don't know for the others, but I assure you that it makes me feel as if I was there :ghug:

If he lands that spread eagle - 4loop- spread eagle tonight i'm going to scream, even if it's in the middle of the night and everyone is sleeping....:slink:

Thread moves so fast from last night!!! I'm only able to catch up now.

I knew it!!! That FS is just a beauty!! I've been repeating that practice video how many times now!!

Also I just found another video by Lynn Liu at Youtube. Sorry if it has been posted before though!

I was watching this with my workers during lunch time (it's already Friday here) and they were gasping at certain parts that they found so beautiful. I was so surprised with their passionate reaction but of course so happy to see such reaction from people who barely watches figure skating!

if he first hints at costumes in an interview and then doesn't have any, I'm officially nominating him as Tease of the Year

Imagine he himself has no idea how they look like because they are going to be sent to the venue directly and he will have only half an hour to fit in them. The designer is a mysterious man who offered his services by sending Yuzu 50 different designs for Yuzuru to choose top 3 for each program. The final decision on which one to create depends on designer's whim. :laugh2:
