Sooooo excited to see a video of his short programme! It's such a refreshing change of style (well PW was quite a while ago now). カッコイイ:biggrin:

(FS is also a different style to his previous programmes, but I feel like it's a bit similar to some exhibition programmes he has done over the years.)

StSq, 2Lo, 3Lo, 3Lz, 3F, 1A, 3A, 4S, 4T, 4S-3T, 2Lo (forgot to cross legs below the knees again?), 1Lo
SP skate: 3Lo, 4S-3T, 3A
Beverly Smith Twitter:
During his run-through, Hanyu bailed part-way through a quad loop. Did about 3 1/2 rotations. Imagine doing a quad loop in SP!!!!
I've never seen Hanyu skate to such high-energy music. He's doing a short-program practice now at Autumn Classic.

4Lo from eagle (with a fall? messages differ)
4Lo (hand), 4Lo (fall)

4Lo (OT)
Spin
Hanyu stepped out of a quad loop at end of practice. Finished with a spin. Bowed deeply to all four corners. Pooh is at ringside. (Beverly Smith).

Yes it doesn't look like ISU made an official announcement There's nothing listed on the ISU website, but maybe they don't post un-suceesful attempts

:rolleye:It looks like ISU didn't ratify Krasnozhon's 4Lo.
I didn't want ISU to announce such a thing right before Yuzu's competition.
Or maybe he won't care, but I now feel more nervous!!:dbana:

Did ISU specifically issue an announcement or something or was it something that the Japanese reporters asked of ISU officials and they answered?

:confused2:

We have more pressing matters to discuss, like his costumes  Seems like we're all expecting the worst?best? situation but watch it be something really boring...like a purple button down. :shame:

4Lo is a new jump for him in competition, I would not expect him to land it as often as he land his 4S or 4T to be frank. Overall, looks like an okay runthrough. He doesn't need to be perfect each time, this is still very early in the season, but I do hope he is at his best when it mattered and not psyche himself when he doesn't get to be perfect :) Good luck, Yuzuru

Adding to the discussion about Yuzu's feelings about landing first 4Lo:

In the second video that hamaguri posted 2 pages back (link), the news programme says that last week 4Lo was 'successfully' landed (but does not mention ISU ratification or anything like that). Then, there is a snippet of Yuzu's interview, in which he says that he does not pay much thought to being the first in the world (to land 4Lo), that since the level of jumping increases continually, he should pay attention most to performing properly the jumps within his ability.

So, basically, what most people have expected his feelings to be, confirmed in an actual interview.

The exact same version of his PW shirt, except in purple

:sad14:

No yuzu, no boring button downs...

But it's not out of question, he could decide to tone it down for rock music. His original black Parisian Walkways was just a buttondown, although the material was shiny enough to save it from being boring.

After seeing parts of the SP, I'll take him not bombing to be a good start tbh. I got tired just watching his steps. :dbana:

Since I won't be watching live for sure, I'm wishing Yuzuru all the best in Autumn Classic :hap10: I expect good results tomorrow morning :)

Usually when Yuzu has a so-so practice he does much better in competition, so I hope the 4Lo is there for him tonight :hap10:

Same here. I think some people underestimate how DIFFICULT his layout is this season. I'd be more than happy if he doesn't bomb or is not being a disaster. I'd rather see him peak later than performing clean so early in the season. :slink:

I agree, I don't really want to see him skate perfectly (because that would make me really anxious), but I can't help feeling excited for the 4Lo and I hope the music/choreography suits him.

I don't think it was bad practice. He has no problems with other quads, and landing them easily, 4lo is new

I hope the costume won't kill me...

It's the huge dilema, isn't it? On the one hand, we all want him to have a good skate, because, well, because Yuzu. But on the other hand, it fels like if he does have a great skate, then it might be that he's going to peak too early... again...

On the other hand, Yuzu could have taken a page out of Sakoto's book and decided to have clean skates all year long... yeah... I mean, a girl can dream, right? :cool2:

Meoima, I've started making preparations! I have some rubbing alcohol, a couple of tampons, table salt and a can of coke. I'm pretty sure that this is what they have in every emergency kit out there!
Trust me, I'll save your brain
