people screaming, legs sliding into the picture, me going "no you didn't"....... but apparently he did

Definitely see a slow down in the actual competition, but his spins in practice are still amazing  Hopefully with more conditioning, he can get them back to that level.

Yes the one @ practices and open practice is his usual pretty spins :luv17: His spins are love.

I loved the costume! I always liked the etude one but for some reason when i think of the song he chose for the FS i thought of blues and greens so it's perfect!
He did the unhinkable: I had my mom and my grandmother watching a skating competition in our big tv, they both thought his performance was beautiful but not quite there (as soon as he finished i started saying "He must be repeating KUYASHII! in his head right now"). I feel like he didn't look so happy with the result, but i am optimist, i think this one is going to be come one of my favorite programs :D OTSU!

I am proud of him. He did what he could now and with time it will get better. It is September.

Agree. To see his face in medal ceremony, I got tears. He was like a child. He was so relieved to finish his work. His condition was worse than imagined.

Just watched FP

It's still a beautiful program mistakes aside! and the stamina problem is to be expected as he did upgraded his layout so will take times to get use to it. Plus with coming out of injuries I can only imagine the work needed to be done regained back all those stamina. But it's Yuzu we're talking about I'm sure he will do it!

Oh just noticed one thing about jumping multiple quads to ensure himself when he is not at optimum level... he did that at last worlds as well. I think it took a lot out of his energy maybe his team would limit his habit of jumping one quads right after another during warm up.

Skate Canada is another month away~~~ dunno how can I bear that :drama:

So weird. Who are these people.

oh his first competiton just finished. I lurked silently during SCAC, but have a feeling he didn't well.. because he had a tendency skipping elements between jumps during run throughs frequently and pops. Practice and competiton are very different, so I wasn't surprised that stamina problems, as I posted earlier SCAC is real season start for him.. adjustment will be needed until SC.But 4lo seems to become ideal and both programs and costumes themself are my taste. I cautiously predict that this season will be tough for him and his fans. And even his 3a wasn't so stable during SCAC. Personally, I judge his condition for not quad but 3a. But good job and don't down too much yuzuru! And I have a question , is there a gala section on SCAC? I know that wasn't there at last year but SCAC become formal senior B this year.so curious about his gala, too.

Well, i expected stamina problems, when i watched his first practice i knew it, it was obvious, even after the SP :confused2:

I think it's within reason for J5 to give the loop -1. It wasn't the best of his landing - pretty whippy landing and his foot came down pretty fast.
Weak landing (bad pos./wrong edge/scratching etc) -1 to -2
The 4S one, it might be possible that he clicked wrong? Because the same judge gave him +2 for the 4Lo and the 4S was done beter :scratch2:
