Lmfao What are these figure skating/F1 comparisons; curiously the only two sports I'm interested in and that are nothing alike. :laugh2:

With Yuzuru and Javier there's no public anymosity so I don't see any similarity with the pairs mentioned. And I don't see how a skater could ram the other's a$$ out of the rink a la Suzuka 90 or this although this came close. jk lmao :coffee:

It's going to clash with my pyjamas, but never mind - send it over ASAP!
Nonsense, my magical tiara is universally usable. It looks great with a prom dress and is a wonderful accessory at rock festivals. Sometimes these two things coincided, so I know what I'm talking about. I'm sure it will be perfect for your jammies.

OK, sounds like a magical tiara! ;)

These two days and two nights (for me) were quite emotionally draining. I've been waiting to see his programs and both worth expectation. I really loved his SP program, I think he worked best on that one. The costume is just amazing, I especially loved the pants, my God, I'm in love!:luv17: I'm sure the program is going to be a huge hit! And this comes from someone who was not impressed with music choice at start. I know he is going to sell it to me, he knows the secret.

The LP is very basic at this stage, I think it demands some changes in music cuts (some parts do not sound smooth to my ear) and perhaps the part were he goes into a hydroblade and then into a rushed and short Ina Bauer seem to be a bit crowded. I'm sure he will sort that out with time. I am not a big fan of his costume to FS, sure it reminds many of us our favorite costumes from the past but I think that when it comes to presenting a new program that has no clear storyline the costume has to be more expressive and vivid. It is beautiful but to me it does not have a potential for a big hit, to me it is a work in progress and will change with time when the program gains it's power and clarity.

I am totaly happy that he could write his name into history of figure skating by landing an amazing 4Lo in SP and then repeating it in FS. Way to go, Yuzu! I know you put your heart and soul in this one, I am greatful to you for all the hardwork that you have done to achieve this success!:thank::hap57:

My only concern is after listening to his interviews and reading translations that he will push himself too hard too soon. Please be patient, please please please be patient, build your stamina gradually, become stronger, keep in mind that you have a very long season ahead, please walk this road step by step, increasing your performance rate of all of your BV gradually. Remember that the turtle has same great chance to come to the finish first as the impatient bunny. You need to keep your body in good shape all season long, do not wear yourself out too soon. Please be patient. You do no owe us perfection at every single competition, your aim is Worlds gold. Put those records apart, you'll be there eventually. Good luck, Yuzu! Thank you for a beautiful start!

Oh, the difference in tastes and opinions, isn't it wonderful? The world has such diversity. Isn't it beautiful? I admire how many views and angles are out there. :dbana:

Talking about coach... I noticed that Ghisland Briand was at the practices with Brian watching Yuzuru and even he advised him. He was watching Yuzuru's performance too. Maybe is he his second coach now?

I noticed that too. If my memory is correct, Adam Rippon really enjoyed working with Ghisland when he was at the Cricket Club and kept him as his coach for a time even after he and Brian split up. Would be nice to know more about him.

Regarding Brian and Yuzu, what I've wondered is if the Japanese part of Yuzu's team interferes with their relationship. If so, I can see where that could cause problems for both of them. I wouldn't want to be a coach or a skater in a situation like that. Although Yuzu is legally an adult, his brain is still not fully formed and, smart as he is, he's still quite capable of poor judgment. As Tracy Wilson said about him last year, "he's a kid." He needs people he can trust who care about him as a person, not just as a profit-making commodity. I hope Brian can get through to him because what I'm picking up from those interviews is some frustration that he's not. Yuzu not discussing his costumes with him is not a good thing. I hope Brian told him that.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said:

I love the SP and found myself watching it more than the FS. And I love the costume: so very Prince like and at the same time so unexpected ^^ I'm sure he will sell the hell out of it once he's comfortable with it :)

I must say I'm a bit disappointed with the choice of costume for the FS: I loved the Etude costume but this one is a less good version of it for me and lacks 'originality' (as you said, as the concept of this music is rather abstract it needed something more unique to make it special... But well, this is what he chose). The FS is very rough for now but it has great potential too and I'm quite happy with what he's done already. By the time I will see it live at GPF, I'm sure I will witness something special ;)

And I couldn't agree more about the turtle ans the bunny, being a turtle myself, I can only advise Yuzu to set the right pace for himself, although I know this boy is impatient (and a wonder too!)

Looking forward for the rest of the season

Are you being sarcastic?

I think not, I'm just sincerely astonished that you loved the pants, I admire you! Your post is great I just thought it's funny that it's almost opposite from mine in certain fashion police points. :laugh2:

Oh, okay, thanks. But I am serious about SP costume, I love how he went totally out of his usual frame. He looked like a rockstar. You just have to have the guts to do that in figure skating! From the very moment I saw the pants I was like WOW, WOW MAN! WOW! I don't remeber when was the last time I was so shocked by a costume in figure skating. It is awesome. I hope he doesn't ruin it too much in order to be more visible for poor streams and rink lightning conditions, seriously.
Actually- if you were a real time fashion police officer- how often would you arrest Elvis Presley?;)

lmao Yes, I certainly did not see that coming. To be honest my most wild thought was that he looked like a waiter on LSD with that pattern on the vest. He was serving me the fanciest of the dishes at 2:34 . Althought I'm biased because I hate with all my might any vest costume in figure skating. And I'm the type love any dramatic program or mildly depressing. Also the only times I personally used white pants was when I was obligated to so it would be my pleasure to see these go. :rofl2:

I would lose count honestly, well it's a fact that I will stay as far as possible from Javi's Elvis program this season, so there you have it lol :slink: although I neither love or hate his costume
