Further, what surprised me was even nhk 7 news yesterday showed yuzu only, though the press conference of nhk cup by team japan was held! The media focused on yuzu and the topics are superficial...

Well what do you expect from nippon's ace (I swear I heard several news report refer to him as this). :laugh2: There are also news report, variety shows (?) that while reporting about Yuzu at AC they also discuss the different between loop, flip, salchow, axel jump, discussing BV of jumps, discussing Yuzuru's increase in BV. Even there are some show that lllist out the highest scorer in men (again lol). It feels like all the broadcast is the same I am lost :dbana:

Thanks y'all who always try keeping this thread bearable for me.. who now barely has any time to play catch up. It's hard to read unnecessary negativity (you know what I'm talking about) especially when your purpose to visit and be here is to catch a break, to have fun, to fangirl (and worry about Yuzu ). So I really appreciate your effort. It helps to put some on my ignore list, make my life easier. :thank:

Definitely will never catch up with the news clip lol it's impossible.

I want Yuzu to be cautious, careful with his health too. I'm sure we all do. He has plenty of people taking care of him and I believe he wants to be taken care of as well haha.

I watched the free again and my god isn't the step sequence goooorgeous... so intricate too. love his smile during the first part of it. The music is also so soothing and it complements his moves very well. What I love about him is that he does implement attention to details (I'm a sucker for that) so we're lucky to be able to appreciate such from him.
I think I might have mention this before but the music kinda climax towards the end, the choreo sequence in particular I think (and how can you not appreciate Brian clapping, encouraging him to finish because he knew it's a struggling/difficult moment, where Yuzu got tired) so it's quite tricky but I think the whole program is well made and put together. Yes he's not there yet but he will. Let's hope he'll stay healthy!

p.s. I just noticed he winced right after they got to K&C area (before he puts on his jacket).. oh nvm he winced some more later I guess he's just exhausted (and cursing himself inwardly for messing up too much :p).

Lol, I feel you guys who can't catch up with all the news. Before I used to stubbornly make it to watch everything that existed and what I could watch, but it's getting impossible really. May I ask you for the link of the video you watched (where he goes to K&C)?
I'd kill for the whole Brian hugging + K&C part. Hopefully there will be more fancams.

I don't think we have this in such detail? (sorry if we do, I have totally lost track on what we do and don't) On Tumblr this video got translated

Interview after FS at Autumn Classic (brief translation)

–1st free skate of the season. What’s your feeling?
Yuzuru: I want to practise soonest possible. Very regretful.

– The pace and steps and jumps were difficult?
Y: Not that it was difficult. Just that my own ability/strength was not enough.

–Due to the off period, your strength is not really back yet?
Y: It is not because of the 2 months that I could not skate. I need to think more about how to practise, the goals for each day, I need to look at these things again from the start.

–Regarding jumps:
Y: On the whole, there was a tendency for the jumps to be stuck/blocked (t/n. no good flow after landing), so in that sense, I feel very frustrated. But this frustration is not the kind that is discouraged or depressed, rather it is frustration that is forward-looking, I really feel it inside. I want to use this frustration and these problems well in my practice.
(Note: he used the word “kuyashii” which is a feeling of regret and frustration. I chose to use the word “frustration” because I think it is closer to that meaning here.)

–On expressions:
Y: In the 1st half, especially the steps in the 1st half, I skated while feeling the music. This was something I have not been able to do in practice, so I feel there was an area that I made some improvement.

–Towards GP season, which areas do you want to adjust or work on?
Y: Everything. From one to not 10 but to 20 or 30 or 100. Everything will change. Like shedding not one but 10 layers of skin from this current condition, I want to work really hard in this one month.

hello, I finally caught up with you.
I've been watching both programs over and over since last night.

"Let's Go Crazy!" is a kind of my generation's hit song, so I'm simply happy Yuzuru chose this song.
I'm sure this program will brush up his charismatic "rock-star" aspect and become one of his drawing cards even after he becomes a pro-skater, like Candeloro's D'Artagnan steps.

Regarding LP, I only found out his result, score and the vague information about his another injury first, sneaking a peek at my phone during the afternoon office meeting. Everyone can guess what I felt then.
Though the first information on Twitter was so shocking, his LP turned out to be much better than I had expected. Of course, his execution is far from his perfection at this point, but I got a feeling this program will grow huge eventually.
Some people on this thread worried about the unfamiliarity and beautiful-but-lacking-story-a-little-bit monotonousness (?) of this music. Before I saw his skating, I worried about the same thing.
But I came to appreciate the style of this music, and now I can say only Yuzuru among bunch of today's figure skaters is capable of skating with this music.
His LP reminds me of world nature TV programs, which only shows the precious beauty of untouched nature sites on our planet, what we don't want to lose, like mountains, forests, rivers, waterfalls, under-sea...with no narrations but only orchestra sounds. (We Japanese often can watch those programs on NHK during midnight.)
In those TV programs, music always stands behind the scenes as a back ground music and never asserts itself, such as "Listen to me! I'm the main!" So viewers can confortablly concentrate on the nature's spectacles. That sort of moderateness enhances the solid beauty of the nature.
What I means is, when Yuzuru elaborates this LP, his artistic expressions will be shining like a lonely star wearing this music, without bothered by over-dramatic sounds. Then the LP will also become a different type of his masterpiece from SEIMEI.
As for colors, they're more vivid and shiny on the big TV screen than on my small iPad. Japan is a country of mountains and forests with a lot of rain/snow. We also have many rivers and lakes and are surrounded by the sea. So, blue, green and white (+brown) are familiar as nature's symbol colors to us. Now he's a nymph of Nature:love:

Watching his programs repeatedly, I must be caught by a romantic sentiment now. Please forgive my long poetic post:o:

Yes! There's this part in the LP (the the spin to the stsq, I got the feeling that he's a tree/flower swaying with the wind (if not the wind in representation). With more time and polishing (specially the second half), it's going to be another memorable program by Yuzuru.:hap10:

Yeah, that part! I love it! But he seems to have forgot to breathe deeply at that part because he was so intense in the spin and step sequence, and that's one of main reasons why he couldn't keep his stamina till the end. I've just read the interview articl on Sportiba web site. Stupid boy!

Hope&Legacy is a little bit more taxing than SEIMEI. An additional quad and he has to keep moving unlike the last wherein there's a moment to pause and breathe. But I'm sure Yuzuru will be able to fix patches as the season progress. ;)

It's really great to know this :drama:

Yes! I got the impression of a leaf floating in the wind. His movements were so fluid and beautiful, at least i did get the impression of "nature". I can't wait to see the FS again, although i was a bit worried when i watched it again yesterday, you can see how tired he was near the end :(
