I don't know but I am inclined to think it is not the case. But just from personal experience, when you are doing a routine, you need to breathe at very certain timing and point to ensure you won't be fatigued and out of breath by the end of it. Like for me if I took a breath too early or too late or too strong or too soft or too long or too short or at the wrong time. Something like that. I don't know If I make any sense, I can't really explain it. :slink:

Don't take it too negative, Yuzuru puts the ice on his feet after each competition for years ,it is well known. Even after practices not to stress feet.

I have tried and the link is at the right page where I can see only a photograph of Yuzuru, with the comment "Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan takes bags of ice off his ankles following his men's long program at the Autumn Classic International skating competition in Montreal October 1, 2016. REUTERS/Christinne Muschi " and all the other photo data.

Thank you @Marin : I didn't know that was so usual for him :).

@fireoverthice Well, maybe you entered the search name and you see a picture of Yuzu but to me it's a home page of Newscome and a huge line of politics. I am not registered at this website.

I can's see the pictures of Yuzu either (accessing from USA).

I am sorry ...I am not registered at that site, but anyway I see this and a lot of other photographs of Yuzuru from last AC (practice, competitions, etc..). I am accessing from Europe: I do not know if this is the reason.
 
I don't know either, well, Marin linked it to me and I could see it. I think I knew you were talking about this picture because I saw it before and yeah, using ice for swallen feet is quite a usual routine for figure skaters. They got used to this, we just have to accept this as a part of their reality and not worry too much. He will be fine. :)
