You obviously didn't read my comments on Gabby from 2016 Worlds.....
ohhh... look there, someone beat me to it !!!:agree:You paid her a few compliments but one of your posts was simply congratulating her on her placement, not her actual performance. Let's not pretend that your involvement in posting about Canadian figure skating is not plagued with negativity.
You dislike Canadian fans, your veiled compliments to Gabby were really just you criticizing Skate Canada for assigning Katelyn Osmond to both SP and FS at the Olympic team event, repeated posts on how you don't think Alaine can break top 6 at Worlds ever (with score analysis, her edge issues, laughing at another member predicting if she can do a clean program with a 3A she could world champion one day), how Polina is better etc. Your comments about Canadian fans went beyond figure skating as well.
The list could go on. Even if you paid more compliments to Gabby doesn't mean your repeated replies to Canadian members who were optimistic about their ladies field were fueled by a passion for figure skating, in fact it does make us feel targeted and unwelcome to express our opinions.
It's Skate Canada after all. What else would one expect?hwell:
You forgot the International, and featured 7 present or former world champions, the majority of whom were non-Canadian.

This is a discussion board. It is for OPINIONS. You often don't like my opinions, and sometimes I don't like yours. That's normal. Of Gabby and Alaine, I think Gabby has improved the most over the past two years and has the most upside. Alaine still has the same issues she always has had: sloppy skating with edge calls and double-footing. Every once and awhile she has a great skate, but because she doesn't work on her problem areas, she will continue to get dinged by the tech panels and held down in PCS by ISU judges. It is probably best that she is not continuing with the 3a because that was a performance killer last season.
I criticized Skate Canada for assigning Kaetlyn to both SP and FS in the Team event because she was still recovering from injury. That was not a criticism of Kaetlyn herself.
They, of course, didn't win the medals, did they?

After reading reports that Canadian crowds routinely start leaving before a competition is over, while skaters are still competing on the ice, just to get a head start on traffic, I will never attend a competition in Canada.
