I already watch her EX (on my phone) :biggrin: but the uploaded video has another song, so I watch her skating to a jolly Christmas Song with Imagine choreography :) haha I have no choice but to imagine[/] the song :popcorn:

And I agree that that was the best skate so far. and her emotion... her eyes... :luv17:

about the banquet. Why was Liza there? And no Julia? I really hope she's fine..

I more wonder about Elena's height. I remember in the begining of the season someone said that Lenok mentioned in her periscope that her height at January 2016 - 167cm, and she wanted to be higher. And now since almost a year she grew up :scratch2:

But I'm calm cause Elena wanted to have this height. :)

Not sure if this has been posted here yet, but new interview with Lena! She talks about both SP and FS (Turandot was Inna's idea), and how she supervises the designing of her costumes. She seems to be totally aware of how much work she needs to do, esp on the FS, and it sounds like we will see an improved Lena at Cup of China! What I love is how she may get nervous, but once she is in competition, she takes to it like a "fish to water" according to the English translation. She clearly loves competing and performing.

I am just going to state my observation.

Lena is always second (first to Elizabeth then to Evgenia and now to Anna) and I think, it is quite sad actually. On the other hand, it also shows how consistent she is. But I would want to see her take that gold rather than a silver sometimes.

I would like to see Lena's skating improve and her getting back to consistently being on top, but she is not always second. She beat Liza both at SA and Russian Nat. That same year she won her other GP event. She beat Evgenia at Rostelecom last season (and frankly I felt she had a reason to be annoyed at Euros).

TAT: Expected by who? Nobody expected anything, this is a very difficult process. Anya Pogorilaya has passed it already, Lena Radionova is going through it now. Not without success, but not without losses, either. Radionova proved many times that she has character and that you can rely on her in big competitions and she would not let you down.

Yup! That's what I love about Lena too. She always seems to do her best when it really counts. I was watching her SP again and really loving her return to the fun, flirty style that was missing last year. Can't wait to see it again at CoC. Does anyone know what TAT was saying in the background during her SP? She sounds pleased :)

TAT still oversees Lena's training, and as Lena said in the interview you posted earlier, TAT gave her the music for her SP...So even though I'm pleased to hear that she still supports Lena, it's also not surprising at all. ;) (She kinda has to.)

Tatyana comes to us often, and a great thank you to her for help, support. She praises and scolds, but does so fairly and wisely. Because she is fair and wise. It makes sensible remarks about the path of steps and jumps that have helped me.

She also talks about working with Akhmadullina (the designer) and Nadezhda Kanaeva. I'm kinda surprised she talked to Ashley Wagner but neither of them posted photos!

Going back to the other interview--interesting that Inna Goncharenko chose "Turandot." She also chose "Titanic." Maybe someone other than TAT and Inna should choose Lena's music...like I really wonder what Shae-Lynn Bourne would've chosen if it were up to her...

I forgot to mention a couple of things...

1) In that interview I posted, Lena mentioned that she talked to Tatiana Navka and Evgeni Plushenko at the Tatler ball. I wonder if one of them helped get Lena an invite. I noticed that Plushenko's wife went to the same hair/makeup studio as Lena (https://www.instagram.com/p/BMdyI5Ig8MM/)--perhapsthat's just a coincidence, or maybe not... :shrug:

2) I read somewhere (can't remember where) that Alena Akhmadullina designed Lena's gorgeous new "Imagine" dress, and that makes a lot of sense. It reminds me a lot of some of her ocean-themed work, like here:

Proof of what, exactly? That she's good friends with Lera Evseeva, so Lera invited her to Monaco and to her brother's wedding...?

You still dont get it. Those "friends" of hers aren't one of those guys who have a clean slate. Specially not in Russia.
Few weeks ago there was even an article about them, because some of them said something what he/she shouldn't have.
Maybe some Russian guy can tell you more about those "friends" and that article. I am too lazy to look after it.

The other point is, that Elena becomes more and more the kind of Paris Hilton-type. And this glamour-world seems even
fit her. If you look at her ~even a blind man can see it~ that she is the born guy-magnet. If you put her behind a bar
the pub will be full house 24/7. So your question is completly irrelevant who invited her to what party. Some bussinessman
recognized her and when she gets her first contract for a fashion-label your question will be answered.
 
As I am watching her "Imagine" I would love to see her skate to "Suzanne" by Cohen. Same kindness, same sadness and same haunting beauty.
