Start Order is up.

Shoma
Adam
Nathan
Yuzu
Javi
Patrick

Shoma skating first might be a good thing, no time for him to get nervous.

I think I'm glad he's going to get it over with first! Also might be good to come right out of the warm up and be fully warmed up. The onsite report from practice yesterday said he just kept falling over and over again on the jumps. Still am hoping he didn't hurt himself. Good luck!

today's practice was better. I think he'll do ok! Go Shoma.

Darn - the onsite report says he left practice early. That sounds pretty uncharacteristic of him. Hope he'll do ok.

According to the live reports today, he seemed to get recovered little by little. I just hope he will get his performance at this competition without any I injury! It must be so hard to execute such a difficult layout under terrible jetlag.

Thank you. That makes me feel a little better, but he only has less than an hour now. Sure hope he's ok. :drama:

I hope Shoma skates a clean free. The position is not important to me after the disastrous judging in the Ladies event.

What a way to win the bronze! The veterans struggled (and basically crashed & burned) and Shoma looked like he might not make it through. I still think he was in pain, but you know what? Because of that, I think this may have been some of the best facial expressions I've ever seen for him!...And will we have Wedding Arms Part 2?...He was .34 away from Nathan!

Yes! He did! He did!

Wedding Ceremony

Shoma, I am proud of you!!!!

And again, cute interaction with Yuzu on podium, joking about their last year wedding thing.

:laugh2::rofl: I have to watch it! I had to leave my computer for awhile, so I missed it. Good fight from Shoma in spite of not being 100%. Looked like he even had a little bit of a hard time getting up on the podium (and not because he's short! :) ) And congrats to Yuzu for keeping it together and coming away with the gold.

ETA: And of course Nathan is looking at them both and thinking "Am I supposed to link arms like that too?" :laugh2:

Our golden, precious son!!! What do you say girls? Even without her fluffy coat Higuchi ruled! And to be slightly bitter still, I think he deserved silver. I thought it was better, much better than Chen..

Congrats to Shoma! I am glad my prediction was wrong and Shoma was on the podium.

.34 away from the silver. I have to give credit to Nathan though with his jumps. He is a natural jumper, kinda like Jin. But my grandson did ok today! Just hope he can cure whatever ails him. Also, if he is hurt, PLEASE skip the gala. Darn, I was waiting for a plumber to come to my house, and of course he came right after they started the medal ceremony. So proud of this guy. So just like last year, for Grand Prix, he ends up with a gold, silver, bronze. It did seem that Coach wasn't smiling quite as much today. Maybe she was praying?! :ghug:

Oh, you must rewatch!

The Podium was so small. I was afraid someone might fall on the ice!

Thanks... congrats to all the medalists!

Have you ever seen live press conference? So lovely!

55 people picked Shoma for 3rd (including me). Other than that, my predictions were a hot mess pretty much in all the disciplines! :rofl2:

Hope I can find the press conferences for both the men and women. I don't know, Shoma and Yuzu may need a little Kuyashii time! I am anxious to watch all the programs again. I was so nervous when it was live that I had a hard time enjoying it. I was getting very worked up -- not quite as bad as at Worlds, but I was getting a little crazy.
