Back in April, Sophie-Anna started a thread for trying to find out song names.

In this post, I appealed for help in finding out the name of the song played during the highlights at the end of the Alpine Skiing race coverage.

Well, it was played again at the end of today's coverage. And I managed to remember enough of the first verse to do a lyrics search and find out what the song was!

So, I finally got to listen to it in it's entirity today!

Nanowar Of Steel - "Nanowar"

Now I know why I couldn't find it before - I was getting the words completely wrong!

They were not asking about Stradivarius violins in the bridge - they were asking about Finnish band Stratovarius! (Just a bit of a difference in the music they each produce! )

And the first line of the chorus was not "It will start a war!", but rather "It was Nanowar!"

Now that I have read all the lyrics, I realise that they are actually a bit strange. But, it turns out that this is a parody band we are talking about.

Nevertheless, regardless of whether they are a serious band or not, this is a great song!
