Joshua Farris

So......any word on whether any Team Damon/Josh skaters qualified for Nationals this weekend? I see that Midwesterns was in Colorado Springs, but I think it's likely that they could have had skaters at Pacific Coast as well.

*trips over feet coming crashing into the thread*

....

Oh, well that's cool, I guess. Shows how much he will be missed.

Are there any other news how he's doing now? His social media are as dead as it gets.

I just want to see him somewhere at last :sad21:

Joshua has started working on his coaching career and probably has Damon Allen as a mentor. He is probably also still working on improving his health and going to school.

As far as his social media goes, I think he has always been a really private/introverted person - which is probably the exact opposite of many people his age who tend to share everything about themselves.

Happy birthday Joshua! Let's hope 22 is way more awesome than 21 was.

Happy 22nd Birthday, Joshua!!!! :):hb::party2::dance2: Hopefully his going to school and coaching has and will continue to work well for him!

Tom Z posted a blog post about the possibility of a quad Axel one day. And buried right down low in it was...have I gone loop-the-loop? Am I reading what's not there? He couldn't really mean...could he...?

Having worked the past two years with Max Aaron for brief periods of time on the 4A and watching 2015 World Team member Josh Farris resume performing his beautiful 3A which flies effortlessly through the air, I definitely think it’s possible and will surely happen someday.

I read TZ's blog before your post, and the part about Josh had jumped (no pun intended ;)) out at me too.

I thought of you right away, karne, and wondered what you would make of it.

Although I don't want to get carried away and over-interpret anything (and I know you don't either), TZ's wording sure made my eyes pop open.

p.s. My belated Happy Birthday :hb: wishes to Josh.

That Joshua's injury has healed to the point that he is doing 3As - which puts a tremendous amount of G forces on your entire body (including the brain)? And that he can also take the risk of falling on them (whiplash)? Apparently.

Other than that, it looks hopeful that he could end up performing in shows - which would be (realistically for now) the best news ever about Joshua.

I wonder if this means that Joshua is working some with Tom Z.

^It seemed to me in the last couple of years that Josh and Z are on quite amicable terms.

Imagine all the show numbers we might yet see!

SOCIAL MEDIA ALERT! (Mainly posting this because we may not see anything else for another year )

If you are on Instagram and follow ice dancer Joe Johnson, he has an Instagram story about Josh and Max helping him with what looks like "video game therapy" in preparation for U.S. Nationals.

Not directly related to Josh - but seeing this makes me continue to hope that Max finds another pairs partner and that it is successful.

And because it's U.S. Nationals Week - Good Luck to Joe and Karina in Kansas City!

It makes my inner mother hen happy to see Josh's eyes so fixated on the screen. Prolonged screen time not being an issue is good.

He's had a haircut.

(Also, the look on Max S's face. ).

So I was wondering how people felt about resurrecting #GiveJoshLove for this year again?

Sure, I'm game. His birthday might have been a cooler day to do it, but the anniversary of his only senior international medal would be a kind day to do it as well.
