2017 U.S. Nationals Championship Ladies SP

Think Gracie was terrified and took the wrong start pose. Surviving the combo gave her a boost, too bad she let fear get the best of her on the flip. Most expression at the end though. She let her frustration fuel her assassins tango footwork. Fifth or sixth I think.

Well... it could be worse! Tight but at least she managed the 3.3 She still got chance in the FS

Well, she doubled the flip, but since she does that all the time, I'm pretty happy. And much more importantly, SHE looks happy. And calmer.

I agree, this is progress for Gracie. I honestly hope she thinks so too.

Well, it was great that she landed the 3lz/3T, but I thought Gracie did not perform at all. She was expressionless and emotionless (other than the fist clenching in triumph after the combo) and very little "tango" interpretation.

Shame about the 2F, she threw away a ton of points.

I swear to god, Gracie better not miss the Olympics because of that stupid flip. I can totally see it happening next year.

They all looked happier and relaxed, now that's a welcome change. And she's still in the running with that score.

Lololol theskatinglesson tweets that Gracie did the flip every single time in the warmup only to falter in the actual program sigh BUT nice setup for the LP!

Oh lord not another I put a spell on you program :palmf:

Meh...I wouldn't go that far.

Eh I still think she's gonna be fine. Now she has zero pressure and she's usually a good long program skater. Her winning the title is probably unlikely but she could fight for the podium. And honestly, I think Gracie just needs a top 5 finish here to gain some confidence and prepare herself for next season.
