2017 U.S. Nationals Championship Ladies SP

Mirai's reaction to her scores:

"Oh, daaaaaaaaaaaaaaang!"

I love this girl.

Plus, she looked amazing tonight. Have I mentioned that yet? I probably have but it deserves repeating.

damn where's her coach?

Tom Z was there to greet/congratulate Mirai when she came off the ice.

As was Drew Meekins.

The next skater, Rebecca Peng, also is a TZ skater, so TZ prob. stepped away to put her on the ice -- while Drew sat with Mirai in the K and C.

Congratulations to Karen, Mirai :luv17:, and Ashley.

Well...I like this unpredictability, its just like Pairs

Who would've thought that Karen Chen would win the Short? (I mean, its really not that surprising that she has 72+ potential, but we've just never gotten to see a perfect skate from her). I wonder if being in 2nd will affect Mirai's decision on the 3A?

I like mirai and it was a good performance but her and Ashley should have switched scores...sigh I guess my queen has to fight from behind once again🙄

Doubtful. If she was a lot lower she'd put it in. But she's in second. Better to be pragmatic.

Rebecca Peng: 3F+3T, 3T looks < on first glance. Horrible fall on the 3Lo. 3-turn out of the 2A. ALL YELLOW!!! I'll add a shot to the "Stop talking, Tara" drinking game. :p

Poor Rebecca. Two downgrades, eek.

And and underrotation. Only 41+? Ouch.
