I miss her too.

I really hope she can heal and come back next year and have a good skate with which she can be satisfied with. I have long given up hope about her scores because they dont reflect what she does at all. And she was never showered with points to begin with.

To think her WR was broken by a program about a kid skipping rope and portraying playfulness of a child... I mean, it's a nice program but it shouldnt be THE program to beat in SENIOR LADIES competition. It'd be perfect for juniors, but I would expect something different for seniors.

And I also was kinda sad how easily Carolina regained her PCS compared to Mao. I mean, she got always more PCS than Mao but now the difference is just gigantic. Why would she get a 73 at her second come back competition and Mao has to settle for 62 - 65 at most. And they both showed easier technical content than before. Thats just not right to me.

You will never convince me that Mao's programs this year werent worthy of 35/70 PCS at minimum.

Okay, enough of my complaining.
I just wanted to say that I miss her too.

^Same. While I feel like Mao deserves more, I'm not going to argue about points. All I want is for her to give a skate that she's totally happy and satisfied with. Because in the end, my favorite programs of hers are the ones that she loves and the ones where there are no regrets. Mao's programs can be incredibly intense, and I admit that I'm missing that in the current ladies field. But she's skating for herself now, and I respect that. Gosh, I love her so much. I miss her too.

I don´t understand how Mao get motivation to compete, she was treated so unfair always, not only considering the rules but comparing with other skaters. I wonder what is the reason?, because if you think about it, she is so marketable, they are sooooo stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. If moral is not your priority at least they should see the money like a benefit. If I were Mao, I would show my middle finger to judges, ISU and the japanese federation.

Me too (hug), I watch two or three Mao videos every night before I sleep. Last night I watched Bells of Moscow from the Olympics. https://youtu.be/5y5mcxHe9Qc Not the NBC version. This one showed different replays. I also watched her SP and FS from 2008 GPF in Korea. It was the first time in history a lady landed two 3As in a program in international competition.

Happy 3rd anniversary to Mao for her Sochi LP which is the greatest performance I have ever seen and the reason I am on this forum. Every time I watch, the great ebb and flow of emotions are an awe inspiring tidal surge washing in from the ocean which mix turbulence and tranquility into a grandiose synergy that make tears well up in my eyes like the swelling tides. WOW!!! This is beautiful, I have only seen her Rach at the Olympics didn't bother watching her SP after hearing how disastrous it was. But this is awesome and beyond words!!!
