Elizabet Tursynbaeva

She's so gorgeous! This program suits her a lot. I hope skates her SP tomorrow as good as it the run through was. I hope it brings her luck that she skates last. :hap10:
I like her tano 3Lz-3T and tano 2A, she really does them nicely. :clapper:
Spins are very nice too. Her musicality is excellent, her interpretation score should be sky high.

Praying she and Yuzuru will skate their best. I do think if Eli keeps skating high level difficulty programs (and clean) she'll soon be reaping rewards she deserves. Just a couple more hours!!! :hap10:

...won't be able to watch live though... :dev2:

So underscored. :furious:

If it was med doing all those Rippons, she'd be getting 2s and 3s on all those jumps. :palmf:

Exactly. And Elizabet's tanos are so much more beautiful than Evgenia's. I just don't like Evgenia's tanos, they are not nice at all :tantrum:

Anyway I am so happy that she did great today. A new personal best! :yes2: I wish her good luck, everything is possible in the free skate!!! :hap10:

:hap10: Like Brian said, that was awesome! I'm so happy for her... I also think that she deserved more PCS but well:handw: I hope she slays at the LP!

Yes, I think it's the first time I see him so pissed at the KnC, I really thought that Elizabet was gonna bite him:palmf: She's always so serious and that chat didn't help to ease the mood.
I'm really sad for her, because I know she's capable of doing clean programs, but this time I think Brian is right, no more rippons please:(

He was quite vocal after that program. Personally, I would be frustrated too because he thinks you have to work on the basics first and get a solid foundation in order to succeed and then she jumped on the rips/tanos bandwagon. And maybe she kept trying them despite no success earlier in the program. Disappointed for her after such a wonderful success in the short program where she was looking so happy. Live and learn, I guess.

I hope today's LP was a good learning lesson for both of them. Orser shouldn't let her do that much of tanos if she is still not able to jump them all. Elizabet was influenced by Tutberidze's methods maybe a bit too much. But, Orser is her coach and not her or her team.
Good thing is, that she has a bit more than a month to prepare for Worlds with Brian, where she has every chance to do better. I know she is capable of two wonderful programs if she doesn't do these unnecessary amount of tanos.
Good luck to her with the preparation! :)

I think Brian didn't want her to do these Rippons, but she did them anyway, being stubborn young lady she is. That's why he was saying what he was. But I also think he should tell her that maybe after they left, not in K&C. I hope things are okay between them, because it looked like they had some disagreements.

What I don't get is, if Brian was so sure that the rippons were bad idea, why did he let her put them in almost all of the jumps?
I can understand if she does a couple of rippons but all of them no. Idk maybe she's a sturbborn kid like Yuzuru but Yuzu's older and Brian lets him do more on his own.I don't know what kind of coching situation she has, but I feel really sad because she has so much potential. Perhaps this time she learnt the lesson.
I hope she does really well at worlds:drama:

^^^ Perhaps Eli insisted on doing the rippons? and Brian gave her a chance. But seeing the flawed skate err... well. Though I too, hopes she does well at worlds. :)

It's true that it could have been better to wait until after K&C, but seeing what happened it's obvious that Brian has been telling her not to do that for a while. He has his share of stubborn students with Yuzu and Javi, but it looks like it's another level with Elizabet and this is not good. If Elizabet doesn't listen to him and prefer to do it the Eteri way, they may as well stop the partnership.
I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but that kid has real talent and letting her REAL coach teach her is the right way to get to her to full potential. But she needs to listen.

Agreed. Elizavet was such a raising star 2 years ago and things have stalled. Her obsession with rippon-style jumps have soured the relationship with judges and coach. It also may have affected her regular jumping motion and made her think that she needs the arm over head motion to make her jump successful.

Maybe he didn't let her and she disobeyed? Or he wanted her to learn a lesson, I'm not sure. In GS Ladies 4CC recap article, Elizabet says she's going to Asian Winter Games, and maybe Junior Worlds before Worlds. She still does so many competitions :drama: I think she could skip the Junior Worlds this year at least, she needs some time to preapre for Worlds.

Whoa! That's competitions too many! errr... she'll most likely probably go to AWG but good lord, I hope she skips junior Worlds. :dev2:

It's good that she decided to ditch the over-rippon after failing the first jump! Hopefully she understood that it was the right strategy and that she'll stick to it for World.
