after reading and worried shitless about 4S3T, I came back to chill-mode again. :dance3:

Highly recommend to distract yourself with something else, if not it becomes so stressful.

I just decided to trust him fully and just wait. promise won't touch my wine and chocolate before Men SP starts.

Lol I opened GS and read all this

Anyway, his practice aside, I am actually more relieved to hear his answers at the interview sweetwater translated. If he said that he didn't think about the title for now and just thinking of delivering what he has trained for and wanted to deliver, then I guess I have to take his words.

He chose his ways, he knew the risk (and yes he is being stubborn and I'll be lying if it is not a bit frustrating), but if it is the road he chose to take to reach that skating ideal of his, I guess eventually I won't mind what the result would be as long as he is content with it. The best of luck to him! Skate for your own fulfillment, Yuzuru :hap10:

I am very optimistic. Yuzu seems to be relaxed and happy, that's te most important thing. And I can't wait to see a new version of LGC and H&L, I know all the other ones by heart by now :)

I have a tremendous mountain of work over me, and i am trying to finish it all before tomorrow because i NEED to take the day off  (To be honest, although i do want to take it so i can watch the SP without worrying about getting up early, there are some things i need to do! Win/Win :D)
Somehow i only had a brief moment of intense anxiety yesterday, but today, even with the news of him failing all jumps including 3A in his SP rt, i feel very chill  I am nervous but because i want to see him skate! (Also, he landed like 5 4S in succession, according to that practice report, right?)
I trust him, and i trust that he wants to give his best performance now. Enough of the build up, he can do whatever he pleases now and aim for the ultimate Let's Go Crazy performance :D
We know that this time he is healthy (Biellmann's back, YES!!), he looks happy and even though he says he isn't hung up on the title, he probably wants to get that 4cc frustration out of his system <3
I think we should just enjoy whatever he puts on the ice this tuesday and hope to see his big smiling face again :luv17: no amount of bad scoring will take that smile at the end of a successful performance away :ghug:
EDIT: GUYS THE MEN'S SP PRACTICE WILL BE 360°!!!!!!! SOMEONE HOLD ME I AM ABOUT TO TURN INTO A PINBALL

I don't know if this already posted or not.. But I like the view from this FS runthru fancam The choreo  I could watch this all time and feel relaxed.. The music gave me so much peace that I forgot his jumps

I find it interesting that he didn't tell the journalists this time that he thought he would win if he's clean, like he usually does, etc... Saying he's not hung up to the title is so much NOT Yuzu ! Compared to the beginning of the season, when he seemed extremely frustrated with his scores during the GP series, telling Brian he wanted more than 106 in the SP at GPF, and so on... He seems much more relaxed now, and it's really heartwarming.
I wouldn't be surprised if Orser (or any coach at TCC) took a long time to prepare him pyschologically because WC was such a heartbreak for him last year, and nobody wants him to be that depressed again :(. And we know Brian has thought from the very beginning that he felt that Yuzu was too nervous in competitions, especially compared to Javi.

You guys are giving me whipslash :dbana:

On the one hand, I've never seen more positive people when talking about a jump that nobody has actually ever landed in public (without the help of a harness).

On the other hand, I've rarely seen a thread so negative about a combo, just because said combo hasn't been landed a few times in competition.

How can you be so utterly positive and so utterly negative all at once?

If the faith of the fans determines the landing of a jump/combo, then I'won't be surprised if he never ever lands the 4S combo, but I won't be surprised either if he lands the 4A the very first time he actually tries it out in a competition

Agreed, I'm going from feeling super optimistic to anxious every 5 seconds reading this thread

But the important thing is that he seems really happy and relaxed, and he's been doing well in practice. 5 4S in a row is nothing to scoff at!

Thanks for all the updates guys! I finally managed to catch up with all the news and also this thread (and that short meltdown over the CoD)

I'm still feeling quite optimistic. Let's trust him on this one :)

just take all the bad cards out

I was freaking out yesterday, now I'm almost eerily calm.
From what I read from his interview translations in vk group, he isn't that fussed about this being WC - he wants to achieve that elusive ideal of his skating.
The boy is already the Olympic Champion, the highest title there is, he's going to be a huge presence anywhere...

As long as he's healthy and happy about his skating, I'll be happy too!

This thread is just visually unbelievable - lots of Yuzu avas having a conversation between themselves. I'm having trouble remembering which Yuzu belongs to who...

Everytime the view is 360°, I just end up looking at the ceiling. And I can't get off it for some reason... Silly me.
