Oh wait...The last time he was off the world's podium (2013) he won the Olympics the following year. Yuzu, there should be a limit to your patterns. :palmf:

P.s. I'm not going to watch any of his interviews right now because seeing him heartbroken will make me cry. I was a mess in Boston during the medal ceremony....

Even though this wasn't the SP Yuzu wanted, I definitely wouldn't give up hope! Anything can still happen during the free, and I think there's a good chance Yuzu can at least podium. Yuzu is a fighter for sure!!

I was also super relieved that his world record still stands :biggrin:
 
My problem is that I don't know to be sad or not? He is always a true Champion; does it really matter if he is fifth now? Even if the worlds it's just another competition. One day you are first; the other day you are not. For a scary sport like FS that everything is going to be decided in the span of a few minutes what is the most important is your overall carrier, imho, not the results of individual competitions. I would love to see him in the first place but these things, late start, Zayak, invalid combo,... can happen for every one simply because ice is slippery. I decided, I'm not sad. Though I still believe he can get the gold but seriously it is not important. He is already a legendary figure skater and that is the most important fact.

If that pattern makes him win Olympic next year, I wouldn't mind lol..
But I still hope that he will give his best and make it to the podium
 
Thank u for the results. Actually seeing the results I don't think it is that hopeless. He is basically fourth, Nathan is behind and both Patrick and Javi only have two quads. The podium is still within reach.

It's not so much the results, but his reaction, he looks so disappointed :(
 
Well, it appears Worlds always has a wrinkle for Yuzuru, which is definitely not good for our nerves. :drama: Count on him to give it his all in the free not just for Japan but also for his personal pride. Besides his fighting spirit, I take comfort in knowing he's in his best ever physical shape at Worlds. He can come back. :yes:

Javi has 3 quads in his FS.

I'm not worried about Patrick, but Javi gets great GOE on his jumps. He got a +3 on the 3A today. I definitely don't think it's hopeless, though, I have complete faith he'll podium.
 
I'm calming down already. SP is over and now move on to LP. Yuzu can YOLO the jumps and combo in LP. Do it boy. Give us good surprises and show all of us what you got. 4Lz, 4A..whatever it is, I'm ready now :devil:

I'm going to laugh so hard if he tries a 4A, only Yuzu would be that crazy :laugh:
 
the scoring is unfair in general with all the nationality advantages
theres still fs and he can make it to the podium im sure he can
but what makes me really angry is seeing him so upset and about to break down
i dont want to see him upset he deserves what he deserves he tries so hard, harder than anyone and he have the skills and talent
and i hope we see him smile on the podium soon
sorry i will stop being so negative
