What's happening in Russian figure skating?
Intrigues are high on the agenda as usual. TAT vs Rodnina vs Alla Piseeva:dev2:
Apparently, TAT is very upset on these 2 for criticizing her for the comments that she made during Worlds.

I agree with her, and the judges.
Bobrova and Soloviev finished third behind Virtue and Moir in the Free Dance at Worlds. I think that says enough. Simply outrageous. Don't get me wrong, I respect them as people, Katya seems to be a sweet lady... But I just can't with their super inflated scores. It was ridiculously obvious that the Russian Fed pushed for them really, really hard. Anyone with a proper pair of eyes can see that B/S didn't have the third-best free dance at Worlds. Let's be real.

TSL just tweeted a rumor that there's a tryout going on between Elena Ilinykh and Nikita Katsalapov. If true, I wonder for Viktoria and Ruslan feel.

After wasting 4 seasons, they finally realize how much of a disaster they are. I wonder who initiated the tryout, if it's true. TSL is pretty reliable... I don't think they would make up random stories like these, especially about Russian ice dance.

I know right! So many thoughts are going on in my head. It's hard to process it all in. Questions like: Isn't it gonna be awkward? Maybe at first... Who came up with the idea? How good are they gonna be? Probably 5 times better in their first season back together than the 4 seasons with their respective "partners". Could they be in the Olympic podium? With the right programs, maybe yes... And if they really come out strong in the upcoming season, that just shows that they are made to skate with each other... Marina Zueva even once said Lena and Nikita are made for each other. Such a shame they wasted 4 seasons. They're not getting any younger. They could have built so much in those 4 seasons... But I guess it's never too late?

Lol I'm not gonnna lie, I/K's swan lake was what drew me into ID. Before that, I was 
about dance in general. I was initially so disappointed in their split because their chemistry was unmatched. However, now that we know more about their internal conflicts, I'm not sure how I feel about this…I guess it depends on what they want to accomplish; if its going to the Olympics then this is probably the only viable path for them right now.
