Interestingly, Yuzu is the only skater whose exhibitions I enjoy and rewatch. As much as I loved Yuna, I never really got into her exhibitions because I felt like they were like watered down programs. With Yuzu, his exhibitions really bring something different that he can't express in competition, so it's like a totally different dimension of skating. Not to mention he hardly waters down the tech and does triple axels and quads  and since he's doing fewer jumps, you see the improvement in his spins, positions, etc. Requiem is one of my favorite programs even though it breaks my heart every time I see it.

i agree - yuzu's EX programs are just beautiful!

competition has many rules and require elements, so watching yuzu express another side of his skating in exhibitions is always a treat!

i love how he can freely express himself and so his EX becomes a performance in itself. he is a true artiste and performer on top of being a sporting champion!

Lol not the plates please  he can squeeze Pooh-san as many as he wants or punch him jk :p.. Pooh-san was fine. *runs ~

LOL poor plates :)

but nooo, don't punch Pooh-san!!! squishing and hugging is good! don't punch the pooh!!!

He has so many great ex.. I love how expressive he was in ex more than in the competition ,and his jumps always so explosive.. It came out nowhere .. Even his single axel in Notte Stellata is beautiful..

i agree! it's like he becomes more free in his EX

his amazing ability to make jumps come out of nowhere is top notch

his jumps have such beautiful height, distance, and speed, and his landings are so smooth and he's just so light on the ice!

even his single jumps are graceful, because he is just graceful on the ice full stop.

seriously i can watch him skate all day and it won't even matter what moves he does, it'll still look good

omg are you guys serious that there was a small earthquake during his SP or were you guys only joking...? :eeking: omg

poor yuzu ... i hope he doesn't beat himself so much ... he's had a long season already so i hope he can enjoy himself here at WTT before taking a long break...

According to that picture, yes, but it was just a 2, that nobody really even feels, and it was in Hokkaido, as far as I can tell... or at least that announcement is for Hokkaido. (Or maybe it wasn't an earthquake, but the people in Hokkaido jumping up and down, cheering for him ^_^; )

And yay for that new picture! That's more how we want to see him! <3
