I say why not. He's absolutely maxed out otherwise, so going for them shows good spirit. Sure, one could worry it will detract from the performance, but with Jason I don't think that's really an issue.

He always gets right back up and doesn't let falls disrupt the programs. I'm excited if he does go for two - that means toe and salchow, one in combination, which also means he can do a maximum of FOUR quads in the free when he's ready.

... actually when asked what quad he wants to work on next at the teleconference preworlds... he said flip before said sal.
So who knows what they will do. But if we are being honest a clean Jason with two quads even in isolation would still be really competitive... I don't think Jason needs four quads.
I actually think that doing two quads in the free even if he falls on both is not the end of the world. As you said he gets back up and it does not bother him. The short... well he would have to land one of them well enough to tack on a combo.
I just want to SEE his 4S... I really want footage...

Anyone else excited about seeing Jason at the USOC/NBC Media Summit this week? I'm hoping to eventually see him - I'm assuming the men that USFS nominated to go are Jason, Nathan Chen, Vincent Zhou, and Adam Rippon.

As to whether Jason will participate - right now he's on vacation in Hawaii, so I guess it depends on when he gets back. And wouldn't you know it, he looks just as striking on a surfboard as he does on the ice!

So not gonna lie this gave me the cutest mental image...years in the future...at a Colorado ice rink somewhere...a mini Jason is wobbling along in an approximate spiral position, his dad by his side encouraging him...there's a mini Josh spinning while his dad instructs him carefully...and a mini Max jumping all over the place and crashing into boards, while his dad tries patiently to make him jump more carefully

IIRC, the USFS men invited in 2013 were Max, Ross, Jeremy, and Evan. (Disclaimer: I am 90% sure -- but not 100% sure -- that they were only USFS men invited.)
As Rosa noted, Vincent has mentioned that he was invited this year.
I agree with musicfan that Jason, Nathan, and Adam probably are on this year's invite list as well.
And I feel pretty certain that anyone who was invited would be sure to make themselves available -- would clear her/his schedule of anything else. (If not, the athlete's agent probably would quit out of frustration

I'm hoping the Hawaii trip is a quick respite with family and that he'll be taking a longer vacation after the L.A. thing. I'd just like for him to have more of a break from the ice before resuming training. We heard he was going to work with Frank in May, but maybe later in the month?

But a great idea to schedule an extended layover in Hawaii instead of flying nonstop from Japan to the mainland U.S.
An efficient way for Team Brown to squeeze in a few nights of R and R
on their way home from WTT.(And at a lower cost than taking a completely separate trip to Hawaii at a later date.)

And although it does seem like a short trip for Hawaii, it is actually on his way back, no? I have only been to Hawaii once, but it was 12 hours in the air for me. And I was truly surprised to see how many of our Japanese friends were tourists in Hawaii, until it struck me that it was probably a shorter trip for them than for me.
I was wondering if Madi Chock gave him any tourist tips, but if it's a short visit, he might have to wait until next time.....

Agree. His skating skills are so good that a couple of quads will only be icing on the cake. I think he could totally rock a quad flip - his triple is so solid! And there's footage of his 4T-3T so he really has just as much technical ammunition as the rest of the guys. Not to mention, he can get 10 points ahead of Nathan on PCS.
