Yeah, Makuhari broadcasts the live show, Kobe does a show with lots of fluff and extras behind the scene clips, but we never see Niigata! Maybe if enough people write in, they'll decide to broadcast SOMETHING??:tantrum:

I remember many fans (including me) sent e-mails to BS Fuji to ask for broadcasting of TOI, and they did

He hasn't been out of a podium since 2014 NHK and that was under special circumstances. Before that, Worlds 2013?

That's right! In such a volatile field, this is remarkable consistency. (though I'd like all my favorite athletes to be as consistent as Uchimura)

Not even in the third place, right? Or I have missed something?

In his senior career, Yuzuru's only 3rd place was at Worlds 2012 (and Nationals that season). Every other time he's been on a podium he has gotten gold or silver. And when he's off the podium he is 4th (except a 7th in his first senior season at a GP event).

Yes, according to his Wiki page. Does my heart good to see all those silver and golds. -Although each silver is probably a 'kuyashiii' to Yuzu.

I'm beginning to think Skate Canada silver is a motivator for Yuzu so I wouldn't know what to do if he ever got Gold there.

Oh, I forgot his WC Bronze...but that was the beginning of his medals run.

Yeah, if he gets Gold in Canada...I don't know how that will work out. :eeking:

Any silver seems to be a motivator. I remember quite well the glances he was shooting at the top of podium during 4CC medal ceremony.

I remember there was a clip of Baby Yuzu, Eyeing Mura's trophy on the podium. -I think it was Junior Nationals...can anyone find the clip?

I know the one you're talking about, he was in his Firebird costume so it was probably 2007? I believe he came in third and it was his first time competing at junior nationals but he was too young for senior nationals. I'll see if I can dig up the clip later. That camera clearly caught him eyeing that trophy!

My second favorite skater after Patrick. Grace on Ice :) - I would love to see this young man live. A living legend and he has already done so much for the sport. I heard his math tutor was not a big fan when he heard Patrick is going in full time to study ice skating. Boy aren't we glad that he did :)
