Even seeing that video in slow motion still finds a way to sort of overwhelm my brain. It's amazing they took the time to identify so many details in the video. It really is great work even if it scrambles my mind

Hey guys! I'm not sure if anyone has posted or seen these videos of Yuzuru Hanyu from Japanese TV Show, but I thought I'd share what I found here with you guys, there are English susb and they made my day!

Yuzuru lipsync to ONE OK ROCK during practice, there is baby Shoma inside too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lGDWEqatXQ
Yuzuru being very polite in front of cameras and having fun during a soccer match https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZPnQgnn_Bw
During the Japan Team introduction, everyone didn't know they had to greet the audience while Yuzu came out and greeted everyone despite not being told to, also him going to a temple in Japan that has the same name as Yuzuru Hanyu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWOzN_7FbiQ
Yuzu and Shoma's wedding ceremony  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5YQDYR6jzc

I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong place, do feel free to merge this to another thread if I got it wrong!

Some of these have been shared earlier, but it's always nice to see them again, since the other links are waaaay back.

and for some -Not-surprising-news...https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20170514-00000119-spnannex-spo Yuzuru Hanyu has been given a bye to Nationals this year during a JSF conference. Usually, the top 3 skaters of the previous nationals get a bye and all other skaters need to compete at some kind of national competition or at the Grand Prix series to get a spot, but it has been given to him, same as if he had placed top 3 at Nationals. (he would have qualified anyway, while doing the Grand Prix so I'm not exactly sure why this is announced) "There's no denying his achievments, there was a unanimous agreement" -Is the comment given by the committee chairman.

Ah! Yude beat me to it!

What does being seeded mean? So he won't have to compete in the Nationals and is chosen for the Olympics right away?
Even if that's the case, Yuzu will never not want to go to Nationals. The fact that he was very sick last year was a different matter.
EDIT: lol ok, so that's it. But we know he'll want to compete, anyway. ;)

It's not a spot for the Olympics, only a spot for Nationals that he's been given. I can't imagine a scenario where he wouldn't qualify for Nationals anyway.

If a skater didn't skate in Nationals, usually he/she must compete in regional competitions next year to go to the Nationals, and Yuzuru doesn't have to (oh, Specs gave better explanations :))

Is it because this is the first time ever...?

Imagine Yuzu having to compete at a Regional competition again after all this time. :reye:

Ah! It's much clearer now, since he couldn't go to Nationals last season, thanks! I was confused for a moment, lol.
Yes it makes sense that they do that for him. One less annoying thing to do for him. :)

I wonder if it would be worth it to put this in his LP? Or would it become a combo of doom?

It's a nice combo but it would be so stressful to watch him stabilise another 4-3 combo...:drama: who knows the 4Lo actually stabilised pretty fast (relative to 4S I think?) so maybe it could work...

also idk if everyone's talked about this already/sick of discussing layouts but what do you guys think are the chances of him including 4Lz?

We talk about it...then talk about it...and talk about it some more! :biggrin:I think...no, because that's the way he's leaning at the moment. But who knows?? :dbana:
