Does anyone know if we can get tickets in advance or do we have to buy them at the door?

I read elsewhere that for ACI you have to buy them at the door but you can ask to reserve them via e-mail so you have a guaranteed ticket.

Oh, he's going to Autumn Classic!! That's great news since I regretted not going to Skate Canada last year (it was just one city next to me, shame on me). I'm guessing ticket sales is only first come first served at the venue?

That was so close! I hope you'll be able to see him this year :)

Hello, everyone! This is probably a dumb question, but when does the next season officially start? Has it already started? I want to be able to follow what's going on instead of hearing about competitions and stuff after they've already happened. I know Yuzuru participated in Fantasy on Ice, but I'm confused as to what the event means.

Thanks!

Right now, lots of ice shows are going on in Japan, they are just exhibitions and not a competition but the competitive season will start for all the skaters at different times depending on which competition they choose to begin their season with.
...for Yuzu, it is the Autumn Classic in September.

Here is a list of the early competitions and who from team Japan will be going to which ones:

CS US International Skating Classic (Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Sept. 14-17): Marin Honda, Kaori Sakamoto, Takahito Mura
CS Autumn Classic International (Montreal, QC, Canada, Sept. 20-23): Yuzuru Hanyu, Mai Mihara
CS Ondrej Nepela Memorial (Bratislava, Slovakia, Sept. 21-23): Keiji Tanaka, Rika Hongo

It was so funny Yuzuru revealed Oda's secret in the interview :laugh2: (Yuzuru said Oda was so quiet before the camera was on but suddenly he became cheerful when the interview started.)

Yuzuru said he was thinking about trying new things in the off season, including trying new variation for spins.

One of the things I noticed in the shows was some really awesome twizzle variations. Loved those.

Me, too. I giggled when Yuzuru talked about increasing variations of spins and Oda was like "You do more!?" But Yuzuru said he could do more  He really likes figure skating, not only the jumps.
