Nathan is very new to this and is really having a lot of fun being surrounded by fans, I think. He is very gracious and friendly.
But grrrr -- frustration! I'd like to tell them all they need to take a step back so that MANY people can get a nice photo of them, and then sign some autographs. Otherwise, they all stand there with their heads down, and only a few lucky people get photos and/or autographs...Makes me think of Shoma at SA. Total frustration where he skated over right to our section. One person took a selife, got his autograph, shook his hand, and then stood there talking to him while the rest of us were dying to take photos etc. Not fair! At the U.S. Nats official autograph sessions, you're allowed to do only one thing--photo or autograph. Obviously this is more spontaneous, but still! Oh well -- sorry for the mini rant! It's still fun to see them up close. And things do get crazy pretty fast when the skaters get close.

Also saw in the Nathan thread that Nathan and Shoma landed side by side quads in the finale. Hooray!
