"Stunning, well-packaged" programs?? Well, maybe in the Olympic season (even though those programs were quite empty in terms of transitions and even choreography). But 'Ave Maria' and 'Ghost' - "stunning and well-packaged"? If you really think so, then you must be one of the very rare ones (if not the only one) with that opinion. I personally had no huge problem with their 2012/2013 season "Uzbek (Andijan) polka" SD, but most people on these forums seemed to loathe it too.
I was talking about the Olympic season programs. Empty in choreography? Really? I can't. Maybe you should check out their performances at Sochi again and see why they won that Olympic Bronze Medal.

It was pretty empty outside the itemized elements, especially compared to the likes of Weaver/Poje's FD. The first minute or so looked really good with that swan lift.
Doing ghost was a plot! A total strategy! Go from doing that and anything else seems amazing! Long term strategic thinking.
My hopes are in Alla and Pavel

I'm sorry to say this, but I wish Elena would just retire. I know she wants to skate for herself and I support her with that, but she has literally zero chances to compete anywhere beside B events probably and Nationals. Anton is phisically strong and they will fit well, but he's as wooden as male dancer can be. Ruslan is much more talented, even Vlasenko would be better idea.

I am happy that she can continue, but I`m unsure what to think about this partnership. After she teamed up with Ruslan, I also was not 100% sold that this could work, but he at least had solid results on the senior circuit with Sinitsina before teaming up with Elena. I just can hope that Shibnev is going to improve quickly and at least she has the possibility to continue skating. It`s awful that a talent like Elena has such bad luck with her partners.
It's not gonna happen anytime soon. I don't think the Russian Fed will allow themselves to release an Olympic Champion/Medalist.
I'm pretty curious to see Elena and Anton together. For Tarasova to be impressed this early... That must be something. I wish them the best of luck. Elena is the real star in Russian Ice Dance.
Ugh. There is very little I dislike more than posters sitting behind their computer screen telling skaters to retire. Maybe Elena thinks this partnership has legs & a long term future, maybe she has no high goals & just wants to compete, maybe she doesn't care if it's only senior Bs. But it's only her & Anton's business, not for you to tell her to quit without even seeing the partnership. You'd throw a fit if anyone had posted that B/S should quit after his injury and her doping scandal, afford other skaters the same courtesy.
I also don't understand how, again without seeing them, you can say that TAT's comments about lifts are trolling. Anton is taller & stronger than her previous partners, Lena looks in good shape from the latest Instagram updates - why would it be so ridiculous for lifts to be the first thing that is coming together and thus the thing that TAT comments on? In general, given Anton's background, I would expect that lifts would be the easiest part and it will take longer for the step sequences, synchronicity and twizzles to be up to scratch.
