Illusion mesh, illusion mesh! :drama:

But at least it matches the color of the gold details, so it's less glaring and I'll accept it. I do love the details and that plush velvet blue.

On a for-real rink, that costume will look totally different -- including the mesh and the back being "too sparkly", as I saw someone mention. Skating under spotlights and skating in a competition rink are totally different. That being said, I'm not 100% sold on this costume and am curious to see what the second one looks like. I wonder if he will wear a different costume at Lombardia. Also was hoping to see the SP costume. As always, he makes any costume look good.

Speaking of Lombardia, that's where the competition will be held right? When will the competition start? I kinda remember a date which is September but i'm not sure

September 14-17 - Bergamo, Italy. There is a Challenger Series thread here on GS and all the different competitions are listed. The participants are listed, and it looks to be a really awesome competition for the men. http://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?65218-Lombardia-Trophy-entries

Turandot medley yesterday, I guess they took pity on him and asked the other skaters, like Shizuka (who skated Turandot in 2006 when she won the Olympics), to skate with him. I'm liking the costume more now.

Am I the only one amused that at the start of the clip, they have his face beside Floyd Mayweather's?

According to this Twitter, after the Turandot collab, the cast was patting Shoma on the shoulder, hugging him, etc., giving him a lot of encouragement. That is so sweet :console: Sending good vibes to our Shomita!

I wasn't so sure about the costume in the beginning but now that I've seen it "in action" it looks quite good. And :yes2: it's a two piece! (Or at least looks like it....)

I hope Shoma's injury is minor.

Rest occasionally and properly is the part of trainings. He's been competing on the senior circuit, the very top level, two seasons after all. Hopefully he and his team will learn from it and realize exactly how far he can push himself and when to stop before his body gets (seriously) injured... I'm no expert I may sound a bit harsh sorry but hearing he skated in the shows while injured has just clicked me; Team Machiko should have learned it already because their first jewel Midori Ito did break her ankle twice.
I'd rather want to see healthy, well-prepared and shining Shoma at the Oly Games, than an very ambitious but bandaged boy going for 4/5 different quads.

ETA My point is, it will be his first Olympics to participate if he's selected. It's the Olympic Games! He should be happy and enjoy every moment on the ice a la Midori in 1988 Kalgary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyu8GYBRIjE.

Rest well please Shoma.

Given his schedule this summer it is not surprising he has an injury. It is not so much the excessive skating but the skating to both of his competitive programs
with many, many jumps included which he has been doing at the shows. That is a lot of pounding on the body in a short period of time.

I hope he takes the time to heal his injury.

Shomita's updated the website.

he's feeling sorry for the final day of FOI, hopefully the foot prob's not serious. now having a rest in Nagoya. To win Lombardia he'll practice intensitvely.

sorry only a little part of translation, but want u know he's ok & relaxing. another guy's Aska Cambridge, a runner.

Glad to hear Shoma's words and that his foot discomfort is fading away. He sure deserves a rest but knowing Shoma he will
be back on the ice soon practicing for Lombardia.

Rest well Shomajesty -- you deserve it! A nice Jacuzzi, deep tissue massage, lots of naps, 10 pound steak!

And Buddy wishes you well and wanted me to tell you he can't help but dance when he hears your SP music.

First part is more Shizuka focused but plenty of Shoma focus on the following parts. Hopefully there'll be a YT or DM full version soon.

I am now completely convinced on the blue Turandot costume. I was hesitant whether I liked the back or not but seeing it in motion it really works. And those sleeves look amazing.

Edit: Really good photo of the details on the back.

How heartwarming having all these veterans performing Turandot and lending their support to Shoma. Shizuka is so kind! Loved the clip with her daughter, what a woman.

The illusion mesh is too yellowish, imho. Shoma's skin is pale, ivory and the mesh is too dark. I think the costume is amazing and beautiful and it would certainly become him having that Gold around his neck, haha. It looks manly in its own sparkly way. What I wonder is that collar though, it looks a bit uncomfortable and stiff and I hope it's not too heavy or distracting, but if it is, I think Shoma's team will find a solution. Now I can't wait for the Winter costume!

So glad we finally got to see some of Shomajesty's work with Romain Hagenauer. We never heard too much about it. And of course, there's Fluffy taking it all in...Great effort on the collaboration. Such kindness to Sho.

The back of that costume is amazing. I want to get some nail art with those beautiful designs. I found someone who specializes in that type of thing and really want to try it!

I got totally sold to the blue costume at first glance. The rich blue with the intricate details are very regal. Aaahhh so happy to see the Turandot collab at FOI. Also Shoma working with ice dancing coach and learning modern dance?! He's gonna do amazing!!

Go get it, Arriba, please show it off to us later!
